PHP - Sql Database Display Problem In Php 7.0
I'm trying to simply display the contents of an entire database for the purpose of building an administrative super-user into the back-end to remove login credentials without having to resort to having to manually interact with Mariadb or PHPmyadmin. However, the code is only returning the last row that was entered into the database. I can't seem to figure out why it's not working as intended. The code is intended to simply display the entire contents of the database into an html table. The code i'm using: <?php $link = mysqli_connect("127.0.0.1", "database user", "password", "login"); if (!$link) { echo "Error: Unable to connect to MySQL." . PHP_EOL; echo "Debugging errno: " . mysqli_connect_errno() . PHP_EOL; echo "Debugging error: " . mysqli_connect_error() . PHP_EOL; exit; } if ($result = mysqli_query($link, "SELECT * FROM accounts", MYSQLI_STORE_RESULT)) { while ($row = $result->fetch_assoc()) { $id = $row["id"]; $username = $row["username"]; $pass = $row["password"]; $email = $row["email"]; $su = $row["su"]; } } mysqli_close($link); ?> <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> </head> <body> <table> <tr> <th>id</th><th><th>user name</th><th>password</th><th>email</th><th>elevated privlege</th></tr> <tr> <td> <?php echo $id; ?> </td> <td> <?php echo $username; ?> </td> <td> <?php echo $pass; ?> </td> <td> <?php echo $email; ?> </td> <td> <?php echo $su; ?> </td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> Edited August 31, 2020 by bakertaylor28 correction of the code used. Similar TutorialsHi Guys, i am trying to get my head around doing a calculation for the total and getting the discount from each row and display the total. I am using both mySql and php. How do i get the TOTAL BALANCE (this is = total balance - the discount) and the TOTAL PAYMENT DUE (this is = TOTAL CLIENT PAYMENT - TOTAL BALANCE). Please note that the discount settings are different for each row and there are an number of different rows. The table is as follows: Code: [Select] `invoiceID` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `USERID` varchar(255) NOT NULL DEFAULT '', `CLIENTID` varchar(150) NOT NULL DEFAULT '', `amount` decimal(10,2) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0.00', `Discount` double(4,2) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0.00' The page code is as follows: <?php $query = "SELECT ID FROM clients WHERE username = '$u'"; $result = mysql_query($query); if(mysql_num_rows($result)) { while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)){ $USERID = $row['ID']; $client = mysql_real_escape_string($_GET['id']); $query = "SELECT * FROM payment WHERE USERID = '$USERID' AND CLIENTID = '$client'"; $result = mysql_query($query); $num=mysql_numrows($result); ?> <table> <thead><tr> <th>Invoice ID</th> <th>Discount</th> <th>Cost</th> <th>Balance</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <?php $i=0; while ($i < $num) { $invoiceID=mysql_result($result,$i,"invoiceID"); $USERID=mysql_result($result,$i,"USERID"); $CLIENTID=mysql_result($result,$i,"CLIENTID"); $amount=mysql_result($result,$i,"amount"); $Discount=mysql_result($result,$i,"Discount"); $balance = $amount - (($amount/100)*$Discount); ?> <tr> <td><?php echo $invoiceID; ?></td> <td><?php echo $Discount; ?></td> <td><?php echo $amount; ?></td> <td><?php echo number_format($balance,2); ?></td> </tr> <?php $i++; } } } $CLIENTID = mysql_real_escape_string($_GET['id']); $USERID = mysql_real_escape_string($_GET['USERID']); $sql = "SELECT SUM(amount) AS TOTALPAYMENT FROM payment WHERE CLIENTID = '".$_GET['id']."' AND USERID = '".$_GET['USERID']."'" ; $resulte = mysql_query($sql); mysql_close(); if(mysql_num_rows($resulte)) { while($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($resulte)){ $amount = $row['amount']; $Discount = $row['Discount']; $totalPayment = $row['TOTALPAYMENT']; $balance = $amount - (($amount/100)*$Discount); ?> </tbody><tfoot> <tr><td></td></tr> </tfoot> </table> <table> <tbody> <tr> <td>Total Client Payment:</td> <td><?php echo number_format($totalPayment,2); ?></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Total Balance:</td> <td><?php echo number_format($balance,2); ?></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Total Payment due:</td> <td><?php echo ""; ?></td> </tr></tbody></table> <?php } } ?> I forgot to note that the TOTAL BALANCE calculation is not correct. Any help would be appreciated. Hello, I recently came upon this website and I want to implement something similar. The 'remove' box is what I would like to do with PHP. I have no idea where to start. I would like to be able to search through my database, select one of its components and add it to that window. Within that window I would also like to be able to remove it. Does anyone know where I should go from there? here is the site: http://www.sealandserpent.org/schedgen/schedulegenerator.php I'm currently trying...struggling....to teach myself PHP and I'm really bugged with this database stuff. I am slowly managing but I'm a tad bit stuck now. I want to show a specific piece of information from a table. Lets say my table is structured like so: id user email 1 Bob Bob@Name.com 2 Fred Fred@Name.com 3 Matt Matt@Name.com What would I need to do to display ONLY Freds user? One way I tried only displayed the first rows info (Bob) the second way I tried (with a while loop) only displayed the last rows info (Matt) Heres my current code: <html> <body> <?php include 'dbwire.php'; $query = mysql_query('SELECT * FROM user'); $row = mysql_fetch_array($query); while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($query)) { echo '<b>User:</b> ' . $row['user'] . Cheers Ben Hi I am trying to display data from the table "event" in my database, I use the code below but it will not work and I cannot figure out why. CAn anyone help? CODE: <?php $host="localhost"; // Host name $username="root"; // Mysql username $password=""; // Mysql password $db_name="test"; // Database name $tbl_name="event"; // Table name mysql_connect("$host", "$username", "$password")or die("cannot connect"); mysql_select_db("$db_name")or die("cannot select DB"); $result = my_sql_query("SELECT * FROM event WHERE eventid = '1'"); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { $eventname= $row["eventname"]; $eventdate= $row["eventdate"]; echo "<b><u>Event Name:</b></u> $eventname" echo "<b><u>Event Date:</b></u> $eventdate<br>"; } ?> DISPLAY: Event Name: $eventname echo "Event Date: $eventdate "; } ?> I want to make a "hint" feature for an app ive been working on. Its a guessing game, and I want to be able to give out hints. Ok so say there is an answer in the database. Say the value is "firetruck". I want to retrieve that value, and obscure it, displaying only one or two letters that are in the word. Or, for a number, say 178, I want to display only one digit from it. Is this possible? Im sure it is, anything seems possible with PHP & Mysql. If so, how could I implement this? Trust me, I read the manuals. The manuals for both PHP and Mysql are so vast and a little advanced for my level.. then again im not complete novice and know the basics plus more of both. <?php require_once('upper.php'); require_once('database.php'); require_once('LoginStatement.php'); $LoginId=$_COOKIE['LoginIdCookie']; $query="select * from activity_participation where LoginId='$LoginId'"; $result=mysqli_query($dbc,$query) or die ('Not Connected'); //echo "<div class='search_output_data'> echo "<table border='0' cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0'>"; while($row=mysqli_fetch_array($result)) { echo "<tr><th align='left' valign='top'>Activity Title</th> <th align='left' valign='top'>Date of Participation</th> </tr> <tr><td colspan='4' align='left' valign='top'><table align='left' border='0' cellspacing='0' cellpadding='0'><tr><td align='left' valign='top'>".$row['Title']."</td> <td align='left' valign='top'>".$row['Date']."</td> </tr></table> </td></tr>"; } echo "</table>"; //echo "</div>"; require_once('lower.php'); ?>In table activity_participation many rows have same values. Hello, I am using the following code to display images managed by a MySQL database. Basically another program manages a bunch of images, but this script displays certain ones (ones with INCLUDE = 1 in the database) on my main page. My question is, is there an easy way to limit the number of images it displays, say to 5? I'm not too concerned which images actually display (ascending or descending)... or better yet, random! Most importantly, I only want five to display. Each image will be linked to the full page, which displays all the images. Any ideas? Thanks!
