PHP - Insert Username Into Email
Hi the below is part my code which generates an email to the user asking them to authenticate, all works fine however I want to add the new user name to the email, one for politeness but more importantly so the user has a email with the login id. I have been trying to edit my code and insert the value of the variable $var_username within the message but totally no luck figuring it out, any help appreciated. the bit of code is below

This is tank.inc.php which works except for the username being inserted into the database. I did try removing the mysqli_close($con); but that didn't help. I did have it working when I removed the mysqli_close($con); but then I logged out and then back in and it stopped?

3. send email that's created in form submission - $msg.
4. send email with attachment to only the email I specify (if possible)
if not attach it to the email that's created at submission.
I've search and search and found different methods but doesn't work with my code.
I kept 3 lines at the top but can't get them to work ... either I don't get an email after submission or don't get an attachement.
