PHP - Truncate Text
Hi there,
I'm trying to truncate some text by 15 words which is then followed by a "..."
This is the line that outputs all the text:
wpjm_the_job_description(); I've tried this, but nothing is happening.

So my question is, how can I take a known piece of data and automatically trim the first 9 spots off of it? I am basically wanting to give my first column a 'NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT' and give each row it's own 'id'. The issue I am having is that the script I am using truncates the whole SQL table with a CSV file that is cron'd daily to update data.

Is it possible to amend this script to ignore my first column and truncate all of the data in the table apart from the first column?
I could then give all of the rows in the first column their own ID's any idea how I could do this?

Hello all , here is another problem of my project. I need to create a textarea , drop down list and submit button . At first , I can type whatever I want in the textarea , but for certain part I can just choose the word I want from drop down list and click submit , then the word will appear in the textarea as my next word . I am totally stumped and not sure which function to use. Should I work my way from step 1 to step 2? I see it as when I do the search for the name from directory.php, it takes me to findinfo.php, listing the users information in the text boxes. Is it possible to have a text field on my site, and the text that is entered into it, be given to another site that I auto redirect the user to? If it is possible, could somebody give me the exact code (I'm not a programmer) I would need to use? If what the user types in the form matches the company name in my php script i want the user to be sent to another page on my site.
