Cannot Select Data After Update Or Delete Sql Statement In Php In Same Action	View Content

In the same $-POST , i wanted to perform update and delete. With the updated and deleted database, I need to select the updated data from the database. However, it tells me: Warning: mysqli_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given in... .I am new to sql in php, is it true that i cannot perform sql in this way? Or is there any suggestion to perform select straight after deleting and updating?

There are about 400 records in a database with a field zabp_package = T_SIMT.
They were uploaded in an order where specific category lists were uploaded together. For example, first 100 dining, then 75 insurance, then 150 health, then 75 cars. So from an auto increment standpoint they were inserted in that order.
I want to select at random 100 of these 400 and update two fields. My update statement is:
update `usersOld` SET `m_org` = 'ZABP.org Corporate HQ' , `m_orgID` = 'PFL2a96bW' WHERE `zabp_package` = 'T_SIMT'
This works for all, I just need to limit a random selection to 100.
Any Help on this, thanks in advance.

this code highlight the null value of login or logout or both.

Now, I need to revised my query statement, because i have separate code for adding attendance if the employee has no attendance or no login or no logout.

I just want to happen is if the employee is already add his attendance in NRS table or should I said if the LOG_IN in attendance table is equal to TIME_IN in NRS table the data will have a color yellow.

For Example:

I have this data in attendance table:

EMP_ID = 012012
LOG_IN = NULL
LOG_OUT = 2011-12-12 13:35:00

I will his attendance in NRS table to have his attendance:

EMP_NO = 012012
TIME_IN = 2011-12-12 05:35:00
TIME_OUT = 2011-12-12 13:35:00

In my above query the LOG_IN has a background color of RED.

I want to happen is if I add his attendance in NRS the EMP_NO, LOG_IN, LOGOUT will have a color to notice that it is already have in NRS.

Because theirs a scenario that the employee has no login or no logout or both.

But they're both not doing what I want: deleting the rows in the "teamlid" table where the id matches the column "lidnummer".

I'm not getting any errors. When using the delete statement directly in MySQL using a hardcoded "lidnummer" it works. But it's not using the lidnummer here to delete the corresponding columns in the table.

I can't get my head around it. Do you guys have any ideas? Thanks!

The following query selects the rows that I want to delete-

Now to actually delete them I tried changing the first word - 'select' to 'delete', but in this case the query seems to run forever and no rows are deleted. Why ? How else can these rows be deleted? btw what I am trying to do is get rid of duplicates. the selelct query works just fine in selecting the records, all I have to do is figure out a way of deleteting them Thanks

Hello all, im new to this forum, im a noobie, just started coding about 3 weeks ago, don't be too hard on me. My question is I wan't to check for challenges a user's team posted that have not been excepted after 1 day, then auto refund the user's team back there credits, and then also delete all the challenges. So far here is my code.

FYI here is the code i had, it works fine, however it will only delete 1 challenge per team, not all of there challenges.

I inherited this script, its using deprecated statements, i know im not skilled to rewrite the entire site to use prepared statements.

Hi,

I am newbie to PHP. If any one explain me with a simple example, it would be really great.

I have a form page "queue_info.php". After user hits SUBMIT, this page will redirect to an action page "queue_action.php".
from form page data are passed using "$quests=$_POST['quests'];" to this action page.
Now i need to resend this same data back to the form page "queue_info.php" from action page. How to do this? Appreciate your inputs on this.

What I am trying to do is create a function that will allow me to delete a user from my mysql database.

I have an HTML select that outputs the username(s) using the function get_admin_username()
(The function is posted below)

There is also a HTML form I am using to make this happen.
(Also posted below)

In other words I would select the user I would like to delete, and click submit which will then delete the user from the database.

The problem I am having is I do not know how to pass values from the HTML select, or the form, or even use the submit button value.

I am not sure If I need to create a function to achieve this.
Basically I don't know what to do this at all for that matter.

I thought I might have gotten close but I thought wrong, and failed.
I was told (in the php irc) that my method was way off and wrong but was given no help after that.

I do have an example to show you of how I tried to accomplish this, but being told that I was wrong I did not feel that it was even worth posting it.

I am lost and have been at this for two days now. I am a noobe but I do understand allot (I think).

Someone, anyone, please help.

what Im basically trying to do is just like a phpmyadmin function... you select rows you want to update with a checkbox and then it takes you to a page where the rows that are clicked are shown in forms so that you can view and edit info in them... and then have 1 submit button to update them all at once.

How to write DELETE End-point for child data-set "cost_revenue_items". What I mean to say is how to handle the request to delete one of item from "cost_revenue_items".

When "cost_revenue_items" will be deleted ,master "invoice_data" will be updated. This update , we can handle by PUT, but how do we know under that PUT, we have to
DELETE one of "cost_revenue_items". Like how the JSON request to only delete one of "cost_revenue_items" will look like.

I'd like to write - or acquire - code that displays a simple table (name, phone number, email address, plus a comments field) on a web page in a password-protected page and allows a user to add his own information, update it or delete it.

I figure hundreds of people and companies have written something like this so I'd like to find either an example I can imitate or even an existing package that I can simply customize to the specifics for my own table.

Can anyone help me with that? Or am I going to have to reinvent the wheel for the gazillionth time and write it myself?
