PHP - Prepare Sql Statement Error

Hello, I have this code

and i will not insert into my database. I have check the syntax and there is no error, can anyore help me   thanks

Hey, I am coding this forum and the following PDO prepare query calls the topic details. The prepare query works perfectly well, however when I add it into a function within another class and then call it, the script does not seem to work.

I get errors like the following:

Fatal error: Call to a member function fetch() on a non-object in C:\wamp\www\new\sources\forum\new.php on line 117

The prepare query fails to excute, this is because I do not know how to add it into a function.

The FUNC class is called as the $load variable, and in my forum class I have decalred it in my global so the variable can be passed:

The code is very silly, but the fact is I did not know how to do this.. Please help me put this query into a function because I need to make use of it in many other parts of the forum and I don't want to constantly declare this query.

I am about to start a major project for a new high profile company contract my company is presently bidding on. One of the requirements is a web interface to communicate between the 2 companies.

I recently read (and have been reading more into it) that MDB2 is (one of) the best methods to communicate with a database (using prepared statements).

It seems to be extremely popular, and not to difficult to use... however, for some reason, it just wont work for me.

For some reason, this is not working? However if I just execute a normal query, it works no problem:

ive tried to write the $sql in so many ways and this looks the best and its still not working

NOTE: I also require dbcon.php at the top of the confirmation.php file which is NOT included in the excerpt at the top.

Making pdo a global variable would probably fix it, but from what I heard globals are frowned upon.

I'm using the following code. I have tried placing parenthesis around $date1 and $date2 to separate them. No matter where I place the parenthesis  Dreamweaver keeps giving me a syntax error. If I remove the second operator $date2 with the && the error goes.

checked all my books but I can't see what is probably a stupid error !

however, when i use my dbconn.php as an include rather than the top section of this code, i get the following error: function prepare() on null

The error references the following

$stmt = $mysqli->prepare($sql);

In my database connection file, i am using the following:

$conn = mysqli_connect($db_servername, $db_username, $db_password, $db_name);

This seems to be the issue and i believe i am mixing procedural and object based but not sure why there should be a difference here?

when i used my database connection file, i do change $mysqli->prepare to $conn->prepare

I have a problem:   I have some PHP code as show below and every time I add the code at the while loop which starts while($select_stmt->fetch()), I immediately get an error and my page did not display. I downloaded the Zend Studio IDE and at the same line it highlights an error which states "Multiple annotations found at this line. I can log-in, and get to the page with the two links on it. However, once I click one of the links it falls back to the log-in page, and it ends up being a never ending loop.

It's doing this:
Log-In --> Page with links ---> Log-In page again

Should be doing this:
Log-In --> Page with links --> Add Product page or View Products page

I can never get into the the actual sub page.

Just to be clear, the address bar actually shows product=add or product=view, but it still shows the log-in page.

I am a new developer, trying to figure out what causing a memory error. The code goes through registered appointments and depends on the service ID, I have to free a 45 minutes for another service to be booked. Now, once I book an appointment for any of the services that can have 45 minutes free spot, the website takes forever to load the hours but doesn't show them, instead I get this error

Hello all,   Appreciate if you folks could pls. help me understand (and more importantly resolve) this very weird error:     Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'ASC, purchase_later_flag ASC, shopper1_buy_flag AS' at line 3' in /var/www/index.php:67 Stack trace: #0 /var/www/index.php(67): PDO->query('SELECT shoplist...') #1 {main} thrown in /var/www/index.php on line 67   Everything seems to work fine when/if I use the following SQL query (which can also be seen commented out in my code towards the end of this post) :

  However, the moment I change my query to the following, which essentially just includes/adds the ORDER BY clause, I receive the error quoted above:

In googling for this error I came across posts that suggested using "ORDER BY FIND_IN_SET()" and "ORDER BY FIELD()"...both of which I tried with no success.   Here's the portion of my code which seems to have a problem, and line # 67 is the 3rd from bottom (third last) statement in the code below:
