PHP - Multiple Files Upload Form Records Duplicating
I have a hopefully small issue on a form submitting data to the mysql database table and email. The email side works fine as does the adding the data to the database table but if I upload two files, it stores the support ticket twice in the database table where as I want to store just once and the files be stored as a array in the database table. I got the code from the link https://www.codexworld.com/upload-multiple-images-store-in-database-php-mysql/
<?php require_once "registerconfig.php"; if (isset($_POST['submit'])) { // File upload configuration $targetDir = "support-ticket-images/"; $allowTypes = array('pdf','doc','docx','jpg','png','jpeg','gif'); $statusMsg = $errorMsg = $insertValuesSQL = $errorUpload = $errorUploadType = ''; // Escape user inputs for security $ticket_subject = htmlentities($_POST['ticket_subject'], ENT_QUOTES); $ticket_message = strip_tags($_POST['ticket_message'], ENT_QUOTES); $ticket_status ='PENDING SUPPORT'; $username = htmlentities($_SESSION["user_name"], ENT_QUOTES); $user_id = htmlentities($_SESSION["user_id"], ENT_QUOTES); $fileNames = array_filter($_FILES['files']['name']); if(!empty($fileNames)){ foreach($_FILES['files']['name'] as $key=>$val){ // File upload path $fileName = basename($_FILES['files']['name'][$key]); $targetFilePath = $targetDir . $fileName; // Check whether file type is valid $fileType = pathinfo($targetFilePath, PATHINFO_EXTENSION); if(in_array($fileType, $allowTypes)){ // Upload file to server if(move_uploaded_file($_FILES["files"]["tmp_name"][$key], $targetFilePath)){ // Image db insert sql $insertValuesSQL .= "('".$ticket_subject."','".$ticket_message."','".$fileName."','".$ticket_status."','".$username."', '".$user_id."'),"; }else{ $errorUpload .= $_FILES['files']['name'][$key].' | '; } }else{ $errorUploadType .= $_FILES['files']['name'][$key].' | '; } } if(!empty($insertValuesSQL)){ $insertValuesSQL = trim($insertValuesSQL, ','); // Insert image file name into database $insert = $link->query("INSERT INTO DB TABLE NAME (ticket_subject, ticket_message, file_name, ticket_status, user_name, user_id) VALUES $insertValuesSQL"); if($insert){ $to = "emailaddress"; $subject = "A new support ticket has been submitted"; $message = " <strong>$username</strong> has just created a support ticket, below is the support ticket <br /><br /> <u>Support Ticket Details</u> <br /><br> <strong>Support Ticket Subject</strong>: $ticket_subject <br/><br><strong>Support Ticket Message</strong>: $ticket_message <p><strong><u>Support Ticket Files</u></strong> <br> <img src='$fileName'> "; // Always set content-type when sending HTML email $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0" . "\r\n"; $headers .= "Content-type:text/html;charset=iso-8859-1" . "\r\n"; // More headers $headers .= 'From: <noreply@emailaddress>' . "\r\n"; $mail=mail($to,$subject,$message,$headers); $errorUpload = !empty($errorUpload)?'Upload Error: '.trim($errorUpload, ' | '):''; $errorUploadType = !empty($errorUploadType)?'File Type Error: '.trim($errorUploadType, ' | '):''; $errorMsg = !empty($errorUpload)?'<br/>'.$errorUpload.'<br/>'.$errorUploadType:'<br/>'.$errorUploadType; header("location: support-ticket-confirmation?user=$username"); }else{ $statusMsg = "Sorry, there was an error uploading your file."; } } }else{ $statusMsg = 'Please select files to upload.'; } // Display status message echo $statusMsg; } ?> The structure of the db table column is file_name, VARCHAR(255), latin1_swedish_ci, NOT NULL Similar TutorialsHi, Was just wondering if I could get help with this programming problem, I am programming a diary system that people can use to book appointments within time slots on a current day. I have the below code reading from three database tables (one for appointment details, one for the profile of whom booked the appointment and lastly a LEFT JOIN table of times from 09:00:00 to 17:30:00). The functionality of this diary of time slots is where there is a booked slot, slip the appointment attendee into that slot so the avaible link is not seen so no one can book over the appointment. This is where the problem comes into play, if there is an appointment expanding lets say 45 minutes which means other time slots will be taken, it just echos out the same appointment details so then I am getting it duplicating. for example down below; 09:00:00 - Booked Appointment (name) - Duration: 30 Minutes 09:15:00 - Booked Appointment (name) - Duration: 30 Minutes 09:30:00 - Booked Appointment (name) - Duration: 30 Minutes Now what I would like the solution to is if there is a way to maybe stop the duplication by showing the first row of the start time of the appointment and then change the the next rows to unavailable? Or even collapsing the time rows so if an appointment is booked at 09:00:00 for 30 mnutes, then the next available time slot would be 09:45:00 so the record would not duplicate. Here is a screenshot to help you a bit better - http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/7981/72314500.png Here is my source code, would appreciate any suggestions on how I would do this! <?php include('connection.php'); //Query $comment = "SELECT * FROM timeslots LEFT OUTER JOIN (SELECT time,endtime,status,firstname,secondname,duration FROM appointments INNER JOIN profile ON profile.id=appointments.id WHERE appointments.DATE = '" .$_GET['date']."') AS a ON a.time <= timeslots.timeslot AND a.endtime >= timeslots.timeslot"; $commentresult = mysql_query($comment); // If commentresult = false then query return fail if ($commentresult == false) { die("Your Query isn't working correctly! :-( "); } // If commentresult = true then echo below information with results if (mysql_num_rows($commentresult) >= 1) { // Start Rows while($cr = mysql_fetch_array($commentresult)) { // Start While Loop { // Process While Loop $_GET['time'] = $cr['timeslot']; $status = $cr['status']; if($status=="") { // Start IF Status // echo Available echo "<table border='0' width='800'> <tr><td width='35'><div class='content'>".$cr['timeslot']."</div></td> <td width='100'><div class='content'><a href='book_slot.php?date=".$_GET['date']."&id=".$_GET['id']."&time=".$_GET['time']."'>Available</a></div></td> <td width='100'><div class='content'></div></td> <td width='120'><div class='content'></div></td> </tr></table>"; } // End IF Status else { // Start ELSE status // echo Appointment within Time Slot echo "<table border='0' width='800'> <tr><td width='35'><div class='content'>".$cr['timeslot']."</div></td> <td width='100'><div class='content'>".$cr['status']."</div></td> <td width='120'><div class='content'>".$cr['firstname']." ".$cr['secondname']."</div></td> <td width='120'><div class='content'>".$cr['duration']." Minutes</div></td> </tr></table>"; } // End ELSE Status } // End Process While Loop } // End Loop } // End Row // Else statement else { echo "<img src='info.png'> There are no appointments for this day!"; } // Close database connection mysql_close($dbconnection); ///////////////////////////// ?> Hi all, I am having a few problems. Basically I have a multiple file upload script, that I can get successfully to save the images to a folder. However what I am trying to do is enter a record in the database for every file that is uploaded, giving it a picture id, album id and user id (p_id, a_id, u_id). From here I then want to rename the image to the p_id in the database(auto_increment). I am starting just by counting the amount of images uploaded and then creating a record. However I seem to have something wrong, as when I tried it to upload 1 image as a test it created 388,000 blank records! (just p_id as auto) Can someone explain what I am doing wrong? I am quite new to php. <?php $result = array(); $result['time'] = date('r'); $result['addr'] = substr_replace(gethostbyaddr($_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']), '******', 0, 6); $result['agent'] = $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']; if (count($_GET)) { $result['get'] = $_GET; } if (count($_POST)) { $result['post'] = $_POST; } if (count($_FILES)) { $result['files'] = $_FILES; } // we kill an old file to keep the size small if (file_exists('script.log') && filesize('script.log') > 102400) { unlink('script.log'); } $log = @fopen('script.log', 'a'); if ($log) { fputs($log, print_r($result, true) . "\n---\n"); fclose($log); } // Validation $error = false; if (!isset($_FILES['Filedata']) || !is_uploaded_file($_FILES['Filedata']['tmp_name'])) { $error = 'Invalid Upload'; } else { include('../includes/config.php'); session_start(); $a_id = $_SESSION["a_id"]; $u_id = $_SESSION["id"]; $togo = $result['files']; $i=0; while ($i < $togo) { $query = mysql_query("INSERT into images (a_id,u_id) VALUES ('$a_id','$u_id')"); $i++; } } ?> Many Thanks I have looked around all overr, but cant find what im looking for. Everything I have found is about uploading multile files, what I need to do is upload one file and copy it so there is 3 files. Here is an example of what I need to accomplish. Upload file picture1.jpg From picture1.jpg create 3 files - smallimage_picture1.jpg, largeimage_picture1.jpg & smallimage_picture1_thumb.jpg Each file will need to be copied to a /products directory and also an entry for each file name placed in mysql database table. I don't think this is as simple as it sounds to do in PHP, but i am very willing to learn so if anyone knows of a good tutorial that get get me started that would be super. regards DB Hi there, Im fairly new at php and mysql but nevertheless im trying to build a web based campaign game for starwars minatures boardgame. Its fairly straightforward and going well.. However ive been thinking about how it will work and have stumbled across a possible problem (because of my limited craft at programming). I want to have a single form that updates all records in the tables, this would simulate an "end of turn" button. Im sure i can do this if doing stuff in the game (e.g. move, create , modify, delete, fleets/ships and auto increment ships hulls simulating repair) if it was done on the same page. However i wanted to to initiate some of these adjustments in their respective pages (fleet.php, planets.php, ships.php etc) and then once the user is happy to click the end turn button somewhere which would update all of these things at the same time.. Is this possible at all??? If anybody could help that would be brilliant. Thank you p.s. if anybody wants a copy of the finished product when its complete, your most welcome. First of all excuse me if this topic is inappropriate in this forum. But I think it's rather a PHP problem. I can't figure out multiple duplicate database records on submitting a form. The database table have two columns: the first one 'Id' with AUTO_INCREMENT and the second one 'Name'. Here's the php code for database insertion and the form: ------------------------------------------------------------------ <?php if($_GET['add_name']){ $host = *******; $user = *******'; $pass = *******; $db = *******; $con = mysql_connect($host,$user,$pass) or die; mysql_select_db($db,$con); $name = $_GET['add_name']; $sql = "INSERT INTO names (Name) VALUES ('$name')"; mysql_query($sql); } ?> <form action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] ?>" method="GET"> Your Name: <input name="add_name" type="text" /> <input type="submit" value="Submit" /> </form> ------------------------------------------------------------------ After submitting the form to itself once I have multiple Name entries with different Ids. The curious thing is that with Chrome browser I get two duplicate records, with Mozilla - three of them. Seems like mysql_query runs multiple times. It works fine when submitting the form to a separate script and not to itself. Do I miss something? It must be very basic. Hey guys. I'm using this script to handle file (picture) uploads at the moment, and it works fine. Problem is though, I need to changeit to a multiple upload form (with 10 uploads per submit) and I dont know how to do it. I think ... I need to change this "<input type="file" name="image" >" to an array ... and put a "for each" loop or something somewhere ... but I really don't know what I am doing. Can someone please help? I probably have missed something out but I am very new to php so please help!! Thanks Cameron I am VERY new to PHP, but I am trying to adapt code from http://www.4wordsystems.com/php_image_resize.php to work with multiple images. Can any please help? I know I need to place it in a loop of some kind, but I don't know how to write the code for that. Here is the code: HTML FORM CODE: Code: [Select] <form action="upload.php" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" > <input type="file" name="uploadfile"/> <input type="submit"/> </form> upload.php CODE: Code: [Select] <?php // This is the temporary file created by PHP $uploadedfile = $_FILES['uploadfile']['tmp_name']; // Create an Image from it so we can do the resize $src = imagecreatefromjpeg($uploadedfile); // Capture the original size of the uploaded image list($width,$height)=getimagesize($uploadedfile); // For our purposes, I have resized the image to be // 600 pixels wide, and maintain the original aspect // ratio. This prevents the image from being "stretched" // or "squashed". If you prefer some max width other than // 600, simply change the $newwidth variable $newwidth=600; $newheight=($height/$width)*600; $tmp=imagecreatetruecolor($newwidth,$newheight); // this line actually does the image resizing, copying from the original // image into the $tmp image imagecopyresampled($tmp,$src,0,0,0,0,$newwidth,$newheight,$width,$height); // now write the resized image to disk. I have assumed that you want the // resized, uploaded image file to reside in the ./images subdirectory. $filename = "images/". $_FILES['uploadfile']['name']; imagejpeg($tmp,$filename,100); // For our purposes, I have resized the image to be // 150 pixels high, and maintain the original aspect // ratio. This prevents the image from being "stretched" // or "squashed". If you prefer some max height other than // 150, simply change the $newheight variable $newheight=150; $newwidth=($width/$height)*150; $tmp=imagecreatetruecolor($newwidth,$newheight); // this line actually does the image resizing, copying from the original // image into the $tmp image imagecopyresampled($tmp,$src,0,0,0,0,$newwidth,$newheight,$width,$height); // now write the resized image to disk. I have assumed that you want the // resized, uploaded image file to reside in the ./images subdirectory. $filename = "images/thumb_". $_FILES['uploadfile']['name']; imagejpeg($tmp,$filename,100); imagedestroy($src); imagedestroy($tmp); // NOTE: PHP will clean up the temp file it created when the request // has completed. echo "Successfully Uploaded: <img src='".$filename."'>"; ?> Hello, this question was already answered on this form but the answer was deleted by admin a year or so ago. anyway, I have an edit items page with multiple images and I do not want to have to relocate all of the images manually but if I do not then an empty variable is passed to mysql, thus deleting my image. What do I need to know to write a code that will not pass an empty variable to my table? Do I use sprint? Hello,
I'm developing one website for a real-estate agency. I have a html form that is used to submit property details, There is multiple form inputs and also I need to upload multiple property images using Dropzone JS multiple image upload. Here I'm validating form inputs using jQuery Validation library. Validation works perfect and data Is being to posted to php file called submit_property_data.php. But when I implement the Dropzone JS image upload its not working.
JS File (property-submit.js)
$('document').ready(function() { $("#notification-property").hide(); /* handling form validation */ $("#property-form").validate({ rules: { prop_title: "required", prop_price: { required: true, digits: true }, prop_area: { required: true, digits: true }, prop_address: "required", prop_message: { required: true, minlength: 10, maxlength: 2000 }, prop_owner_name: "required", prop_owner_email: { required: true, email: true }, prop_owner_phone: { required: true, digits: true }, }, messages: { 'prop_title': { required: "Please enter title for your property" }, prop_price: { required: "Please enter price of your property", digits: "Please enter price in digits (AED)" }, prop_area: "Please enter Sqft of your property", prop_address: "Please enter address of your property", prop_message: { required: "Please enter detailed Information", minlength: "Please enter something about your property in 50 - 20000 characters", maxlength: "Please enter something about your property in 50 - 20000 characters" }, prop_owner_name: "Please enter your name", prop_owner_email: { required: "Please enter your email address", email: "Please enter valid email address" }, prop_owner_phone: { required: "Please enter your phone number", digits: "Please enter valid phone number" }, }, submitHandler: submitPropertyForm }); /* Handling login functionality */ function submitPropertyForm() { var data = $("#property-form").serialize(); $.ajax({ type: 'POST', url: 'submit_property_data.php', data: data, beforeSend: function() { $("#submit-button").html('<span class="glyphicon glyphicon-transfer"></span> Submiting ...'); }, success: function(response) { if (response == "ok") { console.log(1); document.getElementById("property-form").reset(); $("#notification-property").html('<b> ' + response + ' !</b>').show(); //setTimeout(' window.location.href = "dashboard.php"; ',4000); } else { $("#notification-property").fadeIn(1000, function() { $("#notification-property").html('<b>' + response + ' !</b>').fadeOut(); $("#submit-button").html(' Send'); }); } }, complete:function(){ $('body, html').animate({scrollTop:$('form').offset().top}, 'slow'); } }); return false; } $("#submit-button").bind('click', function() { if ( $("#property-form").valid() ) { submitPropertyForm(); } else { console.log('form invalid'); } }) Dropzone.autoDiscover = false; $(function () { $("div#myDropzone").dropzone({ url: 'submit_property_data.php', addRemoveLinks: true, maxFiles:11, uploadMultiple: true, autoProcessQueue: false, parallelUploads: 10, init: function () { var myDropzone = this; // Update selector to match your button $("#submit-button").click(function (e) { e.preventDefault(); myDropzone.processQueue(); }); this.on('sending', function(file, xhr, formData) { // Append all form inputs to the formData Dropzone will POST var data = $('#property-form').serializeArray(); $.each(data, function(key, el) { formData.append(el.name, el.value); }); }); this.on("success", function(file, responseText) { alert(responseText); }); }, }); }); });

What I actually need ?
I need to validate the form inputs first & upload the images once the form is valid also I need to post all the inputs to my php file called submit_property_data.php Also I need the image inputs to store into my database.
So far I have managed to create an upload process which uploads a picture, updates the database on file location and then tries to upload the db a 2nd time to update the Thumbnails file location (i tried updating the thumbnails location in one go and for some reason this causes failure) But the main problem is that it doesn't upload some files Here is my upload.php <?php include 'dbconnect.php'; $statusMsg = ''; $Title = $conn -> real_escape_string($_POST['Title']) ; $BodyText = $conn -> real_escape_string($_POST['ThreadBody']) ; // File upload path $targetDir = "upload/"; $fileName = basename($_FILES["file"]["name"]); $targetFilePath = $targetDir . $fileName; $fileType = pathinfo($targetFilePath,PATHINFO_EXTENSION); $Thumbnail = "upload/Thumbnails/'$fileName'"; if(isset($_POST["submit"]) && !empty($_FILES["file"]["name"])){ // Allow certain file formats $allowTypes = array('jpg','png','jpeg','gif','pdf', "webm", "mp4"); if(in_array($fileType, $allowTypes)){ // Upload file to server if(move_uploaded_file($_FILES["file"]["tmp_name"], $targetFilePath)){ // Insert image file name into database $insert = $conn->query("INSERT into Threads (Title, ThreadBody, filename) VALUES ('$Title', '$BodyText', '$fileName')"); if($insert){ $statusMsg = "The file ".$fileName. " has been uploaded successfully."; $targetFilePathArg = escapeshellarg($targetFilePath); $output=null; $retval=null; //exec("convert $targetFilePathArg -resize 300x200 ./upload/Thumbnails/'$fileName'", $output, $retval); exec("convert $targetFilePathArg -resize 200x200 $Thumbnail", $output, $retval); echo "REturned with status $retval and output:\n" ; if ($retval == null) { echo "Retval is null\n" ; echo "Thumbnail equals $Thumbnail\n" ; } }else{ $statusMsg = "File upload failed, please try again."; } }else{ $statusMsg = "Sorry, there was an error uploading your file."; } }else{ $statusMsg = 'Sorry, only JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, mp4, webm & PDF files are allowed to upload.'; } }else{ $statusMsg = 'Please select a file to upload.'; } //Update SQL db by setting the thumbnail column to equal $Thumbnail $update = $conn->query("update Threads set thumbnail = '$Thumbnail' where filename = '$fileName'"); if($update){ $statusMsg = "Updated the thumbnail to sql correctly."; echo $statusMsg ; } else { echo "\n Failed to update Thumbnail. Thumbnail equals $Thumbnail" ; } // Display status message echo $statusMsg; ?> And this does work on most files however it is not working on a 9.9mb png file which is named "test.png" I tested on another 3.3 mb gif file and that failed too? For some reason it returns the following Updated the thumbnail to sql correctly.Updated the thumbnail to sql correctly. Whereas on the files it works on it returns REturned with status 0 and output: Retval is null Thumbnail equals upload/Thumbnails/'rainbow-trh-stache.gif' Failed to update Thumbnail. Thumbnail equals upload/Thumbnails/'rainbow-trh-stache.gif'The file rainbow-trh-stache.gif has been uploaded successfully. Any idea on why this is? can anybody tell me what's wrong with my query ? $filesa = "SELECT id, uid, size, filehash, filename, dwnloads, swidth, sheight, fores, flabel, vpre FROM pf_fmusic WHERE (aid='$albumid' AND vpre='complete') ORDER BY id DESC"; I am using this in while loop with ps_pagination class but getting 2 records for same set of files. in other words its running while loop 2 time complete code is here... $filesa = "SELECT id, uid, size, filehash, filename, dwnloads, swidth, sheight, fores, flabel FROM ibwf_fmusic WHERE (aid='$albumid' AND vpre='complete') ORDER BY id DESC"; $pager = new PS_Pagination($conn, $filesa, 9, 5, $albumid, $sortid, $sub, $selectalbum3[uid], $title, $collective); $results = $pager->paginate(); while($files=mysql_fetch_array($results)) { // Blah Blah } Output is something like this 1. song 1 2. song 2 3. song 3 4. song 4 1. song 1 2. song 2 3. song 3 4. song 4 Thanks is advance I have code written for image uploading, but it doesn't allow multiple images on a single upload, and doesn't re-size. Anyone willing to share a good upload script that will do the following?: -Allow multiple image uploads (10+ per submission), -Re-size images on upload, and -Rename images. Thanks Brett Hi everyone, I have a page that i use to upload images to my website, i got a bit fed up of uploading one at a time so i decided to add multiple file fields to the form to upload multiple images at the same time. Im having a few problems, iv read up he http://www.php.net/manual/en/features.file-upload.multiple.php and it seems all i have to do is add [] to the form names to turn them into arrays. However when i come to upload the images, i keep getting the "$error[] = "Incorrect format!...." error from the code below. I cant seem to figure out what the problem is. Could anybody please point me in the right direction? <?php session_start(); $id = $_SESSION['id']; $connect = mysql_connect("localhost","leemp5_admin","p7031521"); mysql_select_db("leemp5_database"); $query = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM users WHERE id='$id'"); $row = mysql_fetch_assoc($query); $username = $row['username']; $submit = $_POST['submit']; $type = $_FILES['image']['type']; $size = $_FILES['image']['size']; $max_size = "1000"; $width = "100"; $height = "100"; $error = array(); function make_thumb($image_name,$filename,$new_width,$new_height) { $ext=getExtension($image_name); if(!strcmp("jpg",$ext) || !strcmp("jpeg",$ext)) $source_image=imagecreatefromjpeg($image_name); if(!strcmp("png",$ext)) $source_image=imagecreatefrompng($image_name); if(!strcmp("gif",$ext)) $source_image=imagecreatefromgif($image_name); $old_x=imageSX($source_image); $old_y=imageSY($source_image); $ratio1=$old_x/$new_width; $ratio2=$old_y/$new_height; if($ratio1>$ratio2) { $thumb_width=$new_width; $thumb_height=$old_y/$ratio1; } else { $thumb_height=$new_height; $thumb_width=$old_x/$ratio2; } $destination_image=ImageCreateTrueColor($thumb_width,$thumb_height); imagecopyresampled($destination_image,$source_image,0,0,0,0,$thumb_width,$thumb_height,$old_x,$old_y); if(!strcmp("jpg",$ext) || !strcmp("jpeg",$ext)) { imagejpeg($destination_image,$filename); } if(!strcmp("png",$ext)) { imagepng($destination_image,$filename); } if(!strcmp("gif",$ext)) { imagegif($destination_image,$filename); } imagedestroy($destination_image); imagedestroy($source_image); } function getExtension($str) { $i = strrpos($str,"."); if (!$i) { return ""; } $l = strlen($str) - $i; $ext = substr($str,$i+1,$l); return $ext; } if($submit) { $image=$_FILES['image']['name']; if ($image) { $filename = stripslashes($_FILES['image']['name']); $extension = getExtension($filename); $extension = strtolower($extension); if (($extension != "jpg") && ($extension != "jpeg") && ($extension != "png") && ($extension != "gif")) { $error[] = "Incorrect format! The shop stocks different colours of each product and the client wants to be able to update the stock levels of all colours of one product (which all share the same title) on one form. I have tried following some instructions on some sites and tried making my own and I can get it to display the form and the values correctly, but on submission it does nothing but direct me to a page without a title value in the address (e.g. www.example.com/example/stock_level_2.php?title=). I think it may be to do with the arrays I am using, has anyone got any ideas? Here is the code. I am trying to create an admin page for a local Gym Club to allow an Administrator to be able to update club prices which then show on different screens on the site.
I have been able to display the "Prices Admin" page which basically reads a MySQL database table (pricelist), display the description, member price and non-member price and allows the user to update any of these fields.
My problem is that when I try writing the data back to the database with the "UPDATE" statement it fails, what I mean is that nothing updates. I have at the moment commented out the actual update statement and put in a "file_put_contents" command" to try and work out what is in the various fields before the UPDATE is run. I find that the display/INPUT works perfectly well but when I do a foreach on the $record array variable I am getting strange results.
I may not have explained this very well but here are the relevant sections of my code;
// Display and Input section
