PHP - How Can I Run An Exe (example: Photoshop) In The Wamp Server And Access From A Diferent Computer In The Network.

I have been working on a blog program with a tag system. When I add tags and ask to display them to a certain webpage they all appear on my WAMP environment but not my live server. Any thoughts as to why this might be? Here is the code needed to display the tags. I am not sure if maybe live servers have restrictions that might be stopping it from displaying.    This is on the main page to display the tags.

The "tags" database is structured like so  id, name   The "blog_post_tags" is structured like so,   blog_post_id, tag_id       On the WAMP server it returns all of tags while the live server only returns the first one. Any suggestions on what is going on? If you need any other info please let me know.

I have a mail script to that will take a long time to process, let me call it form2.php

Now I post from form1.php to form2.php.

I like to run/execute the form2.php in the background so that the user will not wait for the time executing the form2.php.

I have used exec and shell_exec but not success.

I am using latest WAMP server in my local mechine.

Can anybody help me to write php/javascript code which will allow users to open files directly from web browser into desktop application? Here is the specification:

I have a photo editing business with many people working in Photoshop. I am currently developing a web based application (joblist) using Javascript and PHP which should allow the photoshop designers to browse and open files/images directly from joblist/web browser into photoshop. The reason I want this instead of browsing folder is that I have a database where I store who worked on which file, when and how long it took.

The concept is that, designers will select a file and click on start, as soon as they click on start the original file will open in Photoshop and there will be an entry into database (using PHP). Once they finish the task they will close the file and click on Finish button.

My joblist application will be published in a local server and the file will be open on a local network, so when they save the file it will be saved where the source file is located in (local server). The application should work in both PC and Mac.

I have already done all other part of the application except file opening directly from browser to desktop application functionality.

Anybody can help me to write the code (PHP or Javascript) which can open the file from browser (local server) directly into desktop application e.g. PHotoshop or Illustrator?

My setup: (everything on a local network)
Web server: Ubuntu Server 8.10 -- Workgroup
File server: Windows Server 2008 x64 -- domain
Test server: Win 2000 running WAMP -- domain

I'm trying to run the code snippet below. $file is a file on the File server above. It definitely exists.
Running the code below on the Test server works perfectly. But the file cannot be found when running from the Web server.

What with the safe mode considerations, I've also tried to add:
ini_set('safe_mode', 'Off'); to no effect. And since file, and fopen similarly not work, I'm pretty sure it's not that either.

The File & Test servers are on the same Windows domain, but that's definitely not the reason. I tried the code on a file on a Linux computer in the Workgroup (where the Web server is) with the same results: Test server works, Web server does not.

Please advise; I'm really lost.

Is it possible to allow a script running on another server to write/read a specific file on my server?  I can set file permissions, but not having any luck with file paths due to php5 blocking http:// urls.

To access MySql tables from PHP, I use the PHP code and the function below.

If I make these changes, would this code work for SQL Server 2008?

Yesterday PHP on WAMP was working perfectly. So I shutdown the computer, go to sleep, and wake up and turn WAMP on. But for some odd reason, when none of my PHP files are loading properly. It just shows all the code as if it were a .txt file.

Any reasons for this?

Each time i try to open WAMP's phpmyadmin so i can create a database it has this ERROR

I keep trying to install every wordpress, or php web server software I can find, the lastest being WAMP. Nothing ever works. I feel like a complete retard here being that I can't even set up a stupid program, to be ABLE to program myself. Everything I install gives me a 404 not found error when I try to load the admin index page to a browser. I honestly have no friggn clue what is going on, I know syntax pretty decently for a lot of these languages, but as far as setting them up, I might as well just shoot myself. I know they can't make it any easier with these step by step tutorials, but it just doesn't seem to work on my comp.

I have used sessions before I don't know whats going on.

My sessions wont die.

OK great is show the same info but now if I close my browser and go back to the second page where it echos it still shows the user//pass
I have tried restarting and it still saves the dam session!

Should it kill the session if i close my browser?
