PHP - How To Display Information On Another Page

I have a website that lists courses. I want each tutor to be able to add a piece of code that will display upcoming courses on their website. I am unsure of the best, secure way to do this.

Could I simply create a file with a function and allow the tutor to add this to their site something like:

This showCourses.php would connect and query my database, would this work?

Hello my problem here is to have a drop down menu which gathers usernames from the database. Then with a click of a button the information for that specific user selected is shown. I'm close code wise but right now it's just showing me all users. I'm displaying the info in text box's to allow an admin to change the info.

Any help is greatly appreciated. 

Below are two pages...Post.php. and Posted.php the posted page checks and makes sure everything is filled out and makes sure that the link has not been already added. The problem I am having is that it is not pulling over the link information. Every time you hit submit it drops down and goes to saying that you forgot to fill something in and I have it showing everything right now so when that happens I can see what is not going through and the $link never comes through. Any ideas? if anyone needs a better explanation please post and I will try to explain better....basically I am trying to post and everything posts but the link.

Hi all

Recently designed a site using includes, but only realised when I'd almost finished the project that because the (e.g.) include("includes/header.html"); had the <head> information (titles, meta description, etc) every single page included the same information (by the way hope this makes sense)

A way I thought of getting around this was to store each pages title and meta description in a database or in for example or maybe in a variables.php file. But I'm not sure whether this is the best way.

I'm not a PHP expert so simple explainations would be very much appriciated.

Hi,   I am wanting to bring information from a number of different tables. For an example I have used two tables.   The tables provide results from motorsport. When someone types in thier information in my Sign Up form i want the information they entered to stay after the page refresh.

For example: I type in my information, but in the email field i forget the '@' symbol and then hit "Sign Up". Then the page would refresh and i would get an error message saying "You must enter a valid email address!" and all the information i typed in before would be gone and i'd have to start over with everything..

My question is, how can i make so that all the information I entered stays after the page refresh? Is there a simple way to do it or do I have to rewrite all my code? (i've provided it below)

I know that you can use jQuery, AJAX and JS to acomplish this and also show the error message without refreshing the page but I don't know much about that and i'm trying to use as little JS as I can. So if there is another easier way?

hi guys, the problem is, is that all of the code works fine, however im trying to post the user to the leader board (leaders.xml) however it just isnt adding to the xml page and im not too sure why.

Apologies for this because it's probably very simple, but I've never worked with JavaScript or PHP or anything before.   So the website I am producing is to sell tickets for something. To purchase these tickets the user is required to click on the seats they want and it will pop up in a box on the left hand side confirming their seat selection and how much the ticket is.   The website has to feature a "Reset Database" button which totally resets everything. No tickets are selected anymore, the user is logged out etc. I have this working fine.   It also has to feature a "Cancel" button, which simply removes the seats the user has selected, but still keeps them logged in. How do I code this?   This is what the "Cancel" button looks like on the Index page:     <div id="theButtons">

hi,

i have made a website where people resgister their details of them and products.

they have to enter the following details in form

Name of company

name of the product

company address

email id 

password 

mobile number contact

and 

brief details about their company 

after filling all details user is registered on website.

user can then login with email id and pwd.

now after login ..user will get a page where he can upload the photos of products images and their price, so now my question is that when he finishes uploading (|by clicking on upload button) the product images and price text box ..then on final uploaded webspage it should show all other things which he registerd before (company name , mobile number etc) along with images and price...hence the main question that user does not need to enter mobile and address while uploading images and filling proce ..but on the final page it should show mobile and address along with price and images..as user is not going to enter mobile and address again and again as he will have multiple products to upload.

I want to add a note field and a checkbox to my list/grid page and save this information to a json file using uomptrucknumber as the key. The note information will be information for the whole truck not by order. The check box will let them know that the truck is ready to have paper work printed.

I am trying to write some data from multiple SQL tables to a page. In the first table is a list of places. I then have more tables that are named after the different places. For example, say my first place in the list is called Place1. I have a table named Place1 with data that corresponds to place1. The data contained in the table named Place1 is a list of things to do in this place. It has 21 columns and each one is something to do in the morning, afternoon, and at night for each day of the week in the place Place1. What I am trying to do is display a sort of weekly calendar as a table on a webpage that lists all of the places in one column and then lists seven days of the week as 7 more columns. Then in each data cell I would want to list the things to do in the morning, afternoon and at night for the certain day of the week and for the place. The problem is that I am creating a CMS to allow other users with no coding knowledge to update events for other places, so I have to display data that could have been altered.

The only solution I know of is to do a while loop that gets all of the place names and while there are still place names, write the place names to the page and set a variable equal to the place name. Inside the while loop I would create another while loop that each time the first while loop is executed uses the variable set in the first while loop to know which table to reference and then make a call to that table pulling out the 21 columns and writing them to the page. Each time the outer while loop executes, it would (hopefully) write the place name, and then set the variable as the current place name so that the inner while loop uses the variable to write the rest of the information about that place.

I don't know if that would even work and if it did, I know it cannot be the best way to do this. I am pretty stuck here and don't really have a good solution so if anyone proposes a solution that is radically different to anything I have done, I am open to everything. Thank you!

I'm having problems displaying data from a mysql database properly.

It's a bit like a cms, a user fills out a form asking for a page title and the page content, thats then stored in the database and the finished result should be the page title added to the navigation and when clicked displaying the relevant page.

I don't know if its possible but I'd like it to be done all on the one page.

As you can see on the link I provided, when you click more than one link it displays it on the same page, rather than replacing itself. Can you help with this?

Also, any idea how I should do the navigation? As you can see the more pages added the longer the navigation will get...eventually extending beyond the page width and creating problems.

Hi,

I have a website which displays products on product display pages and static pages such as 'contact us'.  I am now looking to add a search function which directs to the display page so the products are neatly presented.  However, all the tutorials I can find are based on displaying the echo on same page as the search and directing the search to another page.

Does anyone know how to do this?
