PHP - Curl Only Returning 500 Results, Needing To Loop Through All “next_page”
When using cURL, how would I be able to include a call inside my get_all that basically will loop through all the next_page, get and store the data and then output it to $response->data when the "next_page" parameter becomes null? **Here is the method**: public function get_all() { return $response->data; } **This is what $response->data is returning as of now** (The cURL code wasn't included here): "paginator": { "total": 3092, "per_page": 500, "current_page": 2, "last_page": 7, "prev_page": "https://oc.com/api/v1/employees/?page=1", "next_page": "https://oc.com/api/v1/employees/?page=3" }, "data": [ { "id": 1592, etc.... Here are all of my unsuccessful attempts: public function get_all() { // $next_url = $response->paginator->next_page; // // foreach ($response as $next => $next_page) { // print_r2($next); // // if ($next_url !== null) { // $next_page = $response->data; // } // } // foreach ($response as $paginator => $next_page) { // if ($next_url !== null) { // $return[] = $response->data; // } // } // var_dump($response->paginator); // if ($next_url !== null) { // $this->get_all($path, $args, $next_url); // } return $response->data; } Edited October 30, 2019 by Sema314 Similar Tutorialsgood day dear community, i am workin on a Curl loop to fetch multiple pages: i have some examples - and a question: Example: If we want to get information from 3 sites with CURL we can do it like so: $list[1] = "http://www.example1.com"; $list[2] = "ftp://example.com"; $list[3] = "http://www.example2.com"; After creating the list of links we should initialize the cURL multi handle and adding the cURL handles. $curlHandle = curl_multi_init(); for ($i = 1;$i <= 3; $i++) $curl[$i] = addHandle($curlHandle,$list[$i]); Now we should execute the cURL multi handle retrive the content from the sub handles that we added to the cURL multi handle. ExecHandle($curlHandle); for ($i = 1;$i <= 3; $i++) { $text[$i] = curl_multi_getcontent ($curl[$i]); echo $text[$i]; } In the end we should release the handles from the cURL multi handle by calling curl_multi_remove_handle and close the cURL multi handle! If we want to another Fetch of sites with cURL-Multi - since this is the most pretty way to do it! Well I am not sure bout the string concatenation. How to do it - Note I want to fetch several hundred pages: see the some details for this target-server sites - /(I have to create a loop over several hundred sites). * siteone.example/?show_subsite=9009 * siteone.example/?show_subsite=9742 * siteone.example/?show_subsite=9871 .... and so on and so forth Question: How to appy this loop into the array of the curl-multi? <?php /************************************\ * Multi interface in PHP with curl * * Requires PHP 5.0, Apache 2.0 and * * Curl * ************************************* * Writen By Cyborg 19671897 * * Bugfixed by Jeremy Ellman * \***********************************/ $urls = array( "siteone", "sitetwo", "sitethree" ); $mh = curl_multi_init(); foreach ($urls as $i => $url) { $conn[$i]=curl_init($url); curl_setopt($conn[$i],CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER,1);//return data as string curl_setopt($conn[$i],CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION,1);//follow redirects curl_setopt($conn[$i],CURLOPT_MAXREDIRS,2);//maximum redirects curl_setopt($conn[$i],CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT,10);//timeout curl_multi_add_handle ($mh,$conn[$i]); } do { $n=curl_multi_exec($mh,$active); } while ($active); foreach ($urls as $i => $url) { $res[$i]=curl_multi_getcontent($conn[$i]); curl_multi_remove_handle($mh,$conn[$i]); curl_close($conn[$i]); } curl_multi_close($mh); print_r($res); ?> I look forward to your ideas. Hi, Could somebody please explain to me why the following code returns a 400 error. I've been sitting looking at it for hours and I can't see anything wrong with it, but then again I don't know too much about cURL. Code: [Select] <?php // INSTANTIATE CURL. $curl = curl_init(); // CURL SETTINGS. curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_URL, "http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/96966578.xml"); curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); curl_setopt($curl, CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT, 0); // GRAB THE XML FILE. $response = curl_exec($curl); // Get information about the response $responseInfo=curl_getinfo($curl); // Close the CURL connection curl_close($curl); curl_close($curl); // Make sure we received a response from Twitter if(intval($responseInfo['http_code'])==200){ // Display the response from Twitter $content .= "Success code response:". $response; }else{ // Something went wrong $content .= "Error: " . $responseInfo['http_code']; } // SET UP XML OBJECT. $xmlObjTwitter = simplexml_load_string( $response ); $content .="<h3>Your last 10 twitter posts....</h3>\n" ; $content .= "<ul> \n"; $tempCounter = 0; foreach ( $xmlObjTwitter -> item as $item ) { // DISPLAY ONLY 10 ITEMS. if ( $tempCounter < 11 ) { $content .= "<li><a href=\"{$item -> guid}\">{$item -> title}</a></li> "; } $tempCounter += 1; } $content .="</ul>\n"; echo $content ; ?> My aim is for this what if the table is empty which means no results will be retrieved in the first query then I want it to repeat the $testArray as "TBD" as well. Code: [Select] function getTop5() { $this->db->select('character1_id, character2_id, character3_id, character4_id, character5_id'); $this->db->from('site_top5'); $this->db->where('status_id', '1'); $this->db->order_by('id', 'desc'); $query = $this->db->get(); $row = $query->row(); $ids = array( $row->character1_id, $row->character2_id, $row->character3_id, $row->character4_id, $row->character5_id ); $testArray = array(); foreach ($ids as $id) { if($id !== "0") { $this->db->select('character_name'); $this->db->from('characters'); $this->db->where('id', $id); $query = $this->db->get(); $row = $query->row(); $testArray[] = $row->character_name; } else { $testArray[] = "TBA"; } } return $testArray; } Just finished a search script. However, when type two keywords it will return duplicate entries: Code: [Select] elseif(isset($_GET['search'])){ $search=$_POST['search']; $search=str_replace(" ", ".", $search); header("Location: ./index.php?q=".$search); } elseif(isset($_GET['q'])){ $search=$_GET['q']; $keywords=explode(".",$search); $sql10000="SELECT product_id FROM $tbl_name2 WHERE keyword LIKE '%" . implode("%' OR keyword LIKE '%",$keywords) . "%'"; $result10000=mysql_query($sql10000); if(mysql_num_rows($result10000)==0){ $content='<div class="center">Search found no results.</div>'; } else{ while($row10000=mysql_fetch_array($result10000)){ $product_id3=$row10000['product_id']; $sql15000="SELECT * FROM $tbl_name WHERE product_id=".$product_id3; $result15000=mysql_query($sql15000); while($row15000=mysql_fetch_array($result15000)){ extract($row15000); $content.=$product_name; } } } } I have 3 products: Test2 - microphone Test3 - audio, microphone Test123 - audio When you search "audio" you get: Test3, Test123 When you search "microphone" you get: Test2, Test3 When you search "audio microphone" you get: Test2, Test3, Test3, Test123 with Test3 being a duplicate. Is there anyway to correct this? I tried SELECT DISTINCT * FROM, but there's no difference in the results returned, from what I have now. Hey Everybody, I am writing a SUPER SIMPLE script and for some reason I cannot figure this issue out. I guess I'm too close to the situation and have spent too many hours staring at this script. Here's the problem: I am running a basic SQL query through php that should return multiple rows of data and instead returns the first row multiple times. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I'm sure YOU can help! <?php //Get Invoice Rows $sql = 'SELECT * FROM timecard WHERE INVOICE_ID=\'1000\''; $result = mysql_query($sql); $rows = mysql_fetch_array($result); $num = mysql_num_rows($result); //Build Current Invoice $i=0; $invoice = '<table class="invoice" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">'; $invoice .= '<tr class="heading"><td>#</td><td>Invoice</td><td>Date</td><td>Time In</td><td>Time Out</td><td>Hours</td><td>$/Hr</td><td>Sub Total</td></tr>'; while($i < $num){ if( $i%2 ) { $eo = 'odd'; } else { $eo = 'even'; } $invoice .= '<tr id="invoiceRow" class="'.$eo.'"><td>'.$rows[0].'</td><td>PHG'.$rows[1].'</td><td>'.$rows[2].', '.$rows[4].' Thank You, E Hello all, Trying to figure out how to display database results so that they are numbered (for editing and deletion purposes). Ryan Greetings all! I've been working on a project for about a week now and everything had been going fine until this evening. I'm querying a single row from a user information table based on the userID and doing various things based off of the information that is returned. For whatever reason, the query is not returning all of the information anymore. Code follows: Code: [Select] $userToEdit = mysqli_real_escape_string($GLOBALS['link'], $_POST['userToEdit']); $userSQL = "SELECT fName, lName, email, volunteer, staff, admin, active, volunteerID FROM userinfo WHERE userID=" . $userToEdit; $result = mysqli_query($GLOBALS['link'], $userSQL); if (!$result) { $message = 'There was an error retrieving the user information from the database.'; include '../html/error.html.php'; exit(); } $editInfo = mysqli_fetch_assoc($result); The strange part is that the database i'm querying is located on my remote host(GoDaddy). When I run the app from my local Apache server and query the remote DB, everything works fine, however, when I upload the files to my host, not all of the information is being returned. For example, using the print_r() function while on my local host, i get: Code: [Select] Array ( [fName] => Taylor [lName] => Hughes [email] => taylor@gmail.com [volunteer] => 1 [staff] => 0 [admin] => 0 [active] => 1 [volunteerID] => 13 ) But when I execute the app on my remote host, the print_r() function outputs: Code: [Select] Array ( [fName] => Taylor [lName] => Hughes [email] => taylor@gmail.com [volunteer] => [staff] => [admin] => [active] => [volunteerID] => 13 ) I'm not sure why this is happening but it is affecting multiple queries and subsequently multiple forms and functionality in different parts of the application. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've browsed around for about an hour with no luck. I'm writing in PHP 5.3 and the remote MySQL DB is version 5.0 Oh! And if it helps, I just came to the realization that all the items not being returned are of the BIT data type in the tables. Hello folks, I've got a problem with a search script. It's searching a db containing various properties (as in buildings) and it's not quite returning the correct results. The search form asks that you select a house type (4 options, all of which are tick boxes) and then the last part of the form is select how many bedrooms you'd like (which is a drop-down list featuring numbers 2-5) What should happen is someone selects one or more of the tick boxes and then the number of bedrooms and it returns all the house types that were ticked but only those with the number of bedrooms that were specified in the original search. Currently the results are correct in that they're showing the correct house types, but the number of bedrooms isn't right. e.g. if you chose 2 bedrooms in the search it shows those, as well as 3, 4 and 5 bedrooms in the results. Can't figure it out but it will be something to do with && and OR in my search script. Can anyone suggest a tweak to this that might work? (I'm using the $_GET function because the search form is in a Flash movie) $Result = mysql_query("select * from property_names where TownHouse = '$_GET[TownHouse]' OR Apartment = '$_GET[Apartment]' OR Detached = '$_GET[Detached]' OR SemiDetached = '$_GET[SemiDetached]' && visible= 'Yes' && bedrooms = '$_GET[Bedrooms]' && bedrooms = '$_GET[Bedrooms]'") Well, the title says it all, I do have a class named Database and one Users with multiple methods (code below). When i do try to use one user method (find_all) it returns 2 identical results from the database (and there is only one record in the DB). Thanks in Advance for any help or pointers in the right direction! Hi all, I am new to PHP and am trying to implement a window that opens when a user is trying to validate an organisation on our site. I have an initial page where users can enter data. One of the fields is organisations. This has a button to its right that lets the user search existing organisations in the mysql db. I have the search piece thanks to some code I found and altered. However, instead of a static non-linked list 1,2,3 coming back from the search, I need the search results to be links / or at least "select"-able. When the user chooses the organisation they were referring to that exists in the db I would like the selection to go back to the original php page and populate the organisation field. Ideally without having other data in the original form being lost. Any tips, hints or links would be greatly appreciated. Here is my code: <?php $dbHost = 'localhost'; $dbUser = 'root'; $dbPass = 'mypass'; $dbDatabase = 'mydb'; $con = mysql_connect($dbHost, $dbUser, $dbPass) or trigger_error("Failed to connect to MySQL Server. Thanks in advance! Hey Guys. I have a custom function that simply loops through an array and outputs the menu categories it finds in the array.
The foreach loop passes the function an array and the function returns the the value. The problem is that the function returns that last value.
Now I know some of you might say ... "Why don't you put the foreach inside the function and return the value when the foreach loop has been completed"
The reason why is because I to use that foreach loop through another function as well. I was thinking about using globals to get the return value. But just wanted to get your perspective on the best option here.
Please let me know what you guys think Thanks

ORDER BY ASC"; $photos = mysql_query($query); //This returns and array of photos, but then needs to display all the photos in loop below, but it not retuning none, even if there is 100 photos in table and in the folder directory if($photos) { for( $i=0; $i<count($photos); $i++ ){ $row =& $photos[$i]; ?> <div class="photo-item" id="photo-<?php echo $i;?>" title="<?php echo $this->escape($row->caption);?>"> <a href="<?php echo $row->link;?>"><img class="" src="<?php echo $row->getThumbURI();?>" alt="<?php echo $this->escape($row->caption);?>" id="photoid-<?php echo $row->id;?>" /></a> <?php if( $isOwner ) { ?> <div class="photo-action"> <a href="javascript:void(0);('<?php echo $row->id;?>');" class="remove"><?php echo JText::_('CC REMOVE');?></a> </div> <?php } ?> </div> <?php } } else { ?> <div class="empty-list"><?php echo JText::_('CC NO PHOTOS UPLOADED YET');?> <button class="button button-upload" href="javascript: void(0);&userid=88" id="upload-photos-button">Start Uploading</button></div> <?php } ?> </div> I am working to echo the results in a while or for loop... Both of my sample codes work, but the results are wrong! The while loop ONLY echos a result IF the first record in the postings table matches the id passed (does not display a result unless the first record has a match) The if loop displays ALL listings with the same name (counts them all) so there are no unique listings! <?php $posts_by_city_sql = "SELECT * FROM postings WHERE id='$_GET[id]'"; $posts_by_city_results = (mysqli_query($cxn, $posts_by_city_sql)) or die("Was not able to grab the Postings!"); /* While Loop */ while($posts_by_city_row = mysqli_fetch_array($posts_by_city_results)) { echo "<li><a href='posting_details.php?id=$posts_by_city_row[id]'>$posts_by_city_row[title]</a></li>"; } /* For Loop */ $posts_by_city_row = mysqli_fetch_array($posts_by_city_results); for ($i=0; $i<sizeof($posts_by_city_row); $i++) { echo "<li><a href='posting_details.php?id=$posts_by_city_row[id]'>$posts_by_city_row[title]</a></li>"; } ?> Results with for loop (there are 7 total unique book names, but it's just counting the first match on id 7 times like below): AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners I'm just doing a simple scrape on a web page.. works great, except... the section I scrape is just 10 words inside a table which are updated every few hours. Problem is... my scrape seems to only grab what I found the first time I ran my script, despite the new words being updated a couple hours ago. I've tested everything script wise and looked at the html source to be sure everything is showing up... just wondering, is there any thing you can think of that would allow for caching (from source site or the php script) of the words on a page when running my script? I even opened 2 different browsers and ran the script fresh from these browsers that had never ran it. When I echo the results, I still get the original result set. I'm perplexed. this is only returning one record, when I know there are more, and it's an endless loop crashing my browser, can someone tell me how my brackets are wrong, or what is wrong? Code: [Select] if (isset($_POST['search'])){ $keyword=$_POST['keyword']; } $sql="SELECT id, fname, lname FROM obituaries WHERE lname LIKE '%$keyword%' OR fname LIKE '%$keyword%' ORDER BY id DESC"; $results = mysql_query($sql); $num = mysql_num_rows ($results); if ($num > 0 ) { $i=0; while ($i < $num) { $id = mysql_result($results,$i,"id"); $fname = mysql_result($results,$i,"fname"); $lname = mysql_result($results,$i,"lname"); ?> <a href="view.php?id=<?php echo ($id); ?>"><?php echo($fname); ?> <?php echo($lname); ?></a> <?php } } ?>Thanks in advance Hello all, I'm new to PHP and new to this forum (although I have benefitted from your help already -cheers!). However, this time I cannot find the answer I need/recognise/understand.. I have a form and want to conduct tests on each field returning an error message as a session variable if the test fails. The test will be different for some of the fields, and the error message is specific to each field. If there is an error in any one of the fields I want to be redirected to a failure page where all of the error messages are displayed, otherwise I am sent on to another page. I have already written and tested a function to sanitise the incoming form data, so that's not a problem - it's just how to loop through and test. I can guess that there are many ways to do this but I need to understand why one option is better than another, and follow the syntax used (it's all part of my steep learning curve) The approach I have thought to use is to create an array holding the field name, the test and the message, then loop through using foreach, applying the array values into the test and creating the error message....but it's not working for me. The other method is to declare a variable $Stop='No' and if the loop identifies an error, part of the output is to change this to 'yes' and through that redirect to the error page. I'd really welcome your advice and tuition....cheers.. my code so far is... Code: [Select] $Stop='No'; $StaffPassCheck=sanitisealphanum($_POST['PasswordCheck']); $Errors[0]['value']= sanitisealphanum($_POST['FirstName']); $Errors[0]['message']='Please re-enter your name'; $Errors[0]['test']=($StaffFname=""); $Errors[1]['value']= sanitisealphanum($_POST['Surname']); $Errors[1]['message']='Please re-enter your surname'; $Errors[1]['test']=($StaffSname=""); $Errors[2]['value']= sanitisealphanum($_POST['Post']); $Errors[2]['message']='You must select an option'; $Errors[2]['test']=($StaffPost="Select Value"); $Errors[3]['value']= sanitisealphanum($_POST['Username']); $Errors[3]['message']='You must select an option'; $Errors[3]['test']=($StaffUser=""); $Errors[4]['value']= sanitisealphanum($_POST['Password']); $Errors[4]['message']='Please re-enter your password'; $Errors[4]['test']=($StaffPass=""); $Errors[5]['value']= sanitisealphanum($_POST['PasswordCheck']); $Errors[5]['message']='Sorry, your passwords do not match'; $Errors[5]['test']=($StaffPass===$StaffPassCheck); foreach ($Errors as $key => $Value){ if ( $Errors['test']=true ){ $Stop='Yes'; return $_SESSION[$key]=$Value['message']; } } if ($Stop='Yes'){ header('Location.test.php'); die(); }else{ header('Location.indexp.php'); } I have never used cURL before but I need to use it for developing a facebook application. What I am trying to do is create a status update scheduler. There are two tables in my database. One table has generic updates for each day of the week an the other had special events. My script checks the day, checks to see if there is a special event in the future on that day, and if there is reminds guests of the upcoming event. If there is no event it posts the generic status. Code: [Select] <?php include('config.php'); $result2 = mysql_query("select facebook_id,facebook_access_token from admin where username='users'"); $row = mysql_fetch_array($result2); $facebook_id = $row['facebook_id']; $facebook_access_token = $row['facebook_access_token']; $day = date('N'); $result2 = mysql_query("select * from events where date > CURDATE() order by date ASC") or die(mysql_error()); $num_rows = mysql_num_rows($result2); if($num_rows == 0) { $result2 = mysql_query("select * FROM alerts WHERE id='$day'") or die(mysql_error()); $row1 = mysql_fetch_array($result2); echo 'There are no events just alerts'; } else { while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result2)){ if(date('N',strtotime($row[date])) == $day) { $id = $row['id']; $result1 = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM events WHERE id = $id") or die(mysql_error()); $row1 = mysql_fetch_array($result1); } else { $result1 = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM alerts WHERE id = $day") or die(mysql_error()); $row1 = mysql_fetch_array($result1); } } } $params = array('access_token' => $facebook_access_token, 'message' => $row1[alert_message], 'name'=> $row1[alert_name], 'caption' => $row1[alert_caption], 'link' => $row1[alert_link], 'description' => $row1[alert_description], 'picture' => $row1[alert_picture] ); $url = "https://graph.facebook.com/$facebook_id/feed"; $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt_array($ch, array( CURLOPT_URL => $url, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS => $params, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER => true, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER => false, CURLOPT_VERBOSE => true )); $result = curl_exec($ch); ?> The problem seems to be occurring when the While loop is accessed. I have used 'echo' to follow the variables through the script and it all seems to be working. However if I try and execute the cURL and the While Loop has run then it does not seem to work. I know the cURL part works becuase if the variables cause the first IF statement default to ELSE then it runs fine. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. |
