PHP - Php Create Image With Dynamic Text - Fonts Question
Hi guys,
Here is what I have so far: http://www.autoshopgarage.com/new-era/generate.php What I am trying to do is instead of having Line 1 and Line 2, I want to just have one big textarea so I don't have to limit the user so much. I did it this way because I want to have two versions of text, the light version and the bold version. Is it possible to have two different fonts with just one textarea of text? Right now I have two functions: Quote ImageTTFText($image, $fontSize, $fontRotation, 435, 80, $color, $font1, wordwrap($first, 18, "\n", true)); ImageTTFText($image, $fontSize, $fontRotation, 485,120, $color_black, $font2, wordwrap($last, 18, "\n", true)); So I would limit that to just 1, and it would automatically wordwrap but what would I put for the $font variable? Is this even possible? I was thinking of just using BBCode so they could type in [b*]Bold Text[/b*] and it would use the Bold version of the font if it sees that. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Here is the full code: Quote <?php $first = $_GET['first']; $last = $_GET['last']; $font_color = $_GET['color']; header("Content-type: image/png"); $image = imagecreatefrompng ( "banner_blank.png" ); $color_black = imagecolorallocate($image, 0, 0, 0); $color_red = imagecolorallocate($image, 255, 0, 0); if($font_color == "Red") { $color = $color_red; } elseif($font_color == "Black") { $color = $color_black; } $font1 = 'HelveticaNeueLTStd-BdEx.ttf'; $font2 = 'HelveticaNeueLTStd-LtEx.ttf'; $fontSize = "21"; ImageTTFText($image, $fontSize, $fontRotation, 435, 80, $color, $font1, wordwrap($first, 18, "\n", true)); ImageTTFText($image, $fontSize, $fontRotation, 485,120, $color_black, $font2, wordwrap($last, 18, "\n", true)); imagepng ( $image ); imagedestroy ( $image ); ?> Similar TutorialsFolks, I need help (Php code ) to generate a Dynamic Text on a Base Image. May Anyone Help me with this Please? Cheers Natasha T. Hello i just learned how to use .ttf fonts on a webpage ,but i noticed that IE Browsers arent supporting it so i thought to make add the Fonted Text into a image so IE Browsers will see the font in a image and not a replaced font text Could someone please provide me a Simple Script to make a PNG image with the text and font and a invisible background ? Here is the script the reads a twitter xml feed and generates a png from the first tweet. What I want to be able to is specify a width so the text will wrap and be able to position the text within a certain dimensions. I created the files with a base image because I didn't know how to create an image with a specific color. So removing the base image section would be great. Lastly, I would like to style the font with a certain font and weight. <?php // Get the XML data from Feedburner $sxe = new SimpleXMLElement('twitter.xml', NULL, TRUE); $tweet = $sxe->status[0]->text; // Create the image from the base image $img = imagecreatefrompng('tweet-base.png'); $color = imagecolorallocate($img, 0x33, 0x33, 0x33); imagestring($img, 2, $xpos, 2, $tweet, $color); // Save the image imagepng($img, 'tweet.png'); ?> Hi, How to create an invisible text in an image. Any idea? Thanks. Hi there, I have a simple question - is it possible to send out an html email containing PHP/MySQL code so that when the user receives the email it checks the date and serves up content from a database? I have created a page that works fine online, but when I try to email the page, it doesn't work from within the user's email client (such as outlook, or gmail). When I look at the raw email source, it looks like the PHP code isn't getting executed by the email program. If anyone knows a reason or workaround, I would appreciate it! Thanks in advance, Rick Code: [Select] <?php $day = date("Y-m-d"); // Connects to your Database mysql_connect("empowermentoftheday.com", "username", "password") or die(mysql_error()) ; mysql_select_db("etd_emails") or die(mysql_error()) ; if (!function_exists("GetSQLValueString")) { function GetSQLValueString($theValue, $theType, $theDefinedValue = "", $theNotDefinedValue = "") { $theValue = get_magic_quotes_gpc() ? stripslashes($theValue) : $theValue; $theValue = function_exists("mysql_real_escape_string") ? mysql_real_escape_string($theValue) : mysql_escape_string($theValue); switch ($theType) { case "text": $theValue = ($theValue != "") ? It has the GD library (I think). The system is very hard to understand because of how it was built. Either way, I am trying to add new fonts. I notice each font the other developer uses has a .php, .ttf, .t18 and .afm. Each one of the font has each one of those files, named the same as the font. I am going crazy, trying to figure out how to add more fonts. The client has requested that I add another 5-15 fonts. Pretty much whatever I can get my hands on. So I was curious, where can I find these kinds of fonts. Since there is a .php file, I assumed this was located somewhere as a php resource. I have search all over, but don't know what I am looking for. Or do I have to use any font, and then custom build the php file for that font, based off how that font works. How would someone learn how the internal workings would work, for a specific font? I am looking for a dynamic image script that handles word wrapping and possible font resizing. Basically, I have a dimensions, a font and a company name. So, lets say I am trying to make a 300x300 image for Bob's Boats in verdana. I want a script that not only creates the image, but tries to use up the available space (putting each word on a line, using a large font, horizontally and vertically aligning everything) Worst case I'll write my own, but the algorithm seems pretty complex. For example, lets say the companies name was: Chocolates in a Basket, it could be: Chocolates in a Basket Or: Chocolates in a Basket But never: Chocolates in a Basket Worst case, I might make it so that it supports 3 lines, but only ever puts the company name on 2 by default, and if the user wants to manually change it, they can. Even that isn't perfect though, because if the dimensions are something like 300x35, you wouldn't want a second line, let alone a 3rd. I have set this up with a form on another page so that they can generate a runescape stat signature, although there is something wrong, if they do not select a font it comes up with an error. Here is the Code: Code: [Select] <?php header("Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate"); header("Cache-Control: post-check=0, pre-check=0", false); header("Pragma: no-cache"); $user = ""; $img = ""; $fnt = ""; if(isset($_GET['user'])) { if(!empty($_GET['user'])) { $user = $_GET['user']; } } if(isset($_GET['img'])) { if(!empty($_GET['img'])) { $img = $_GET['img']; } else{$img='blue';} } else{$img='blue';} if(isset($_GET['fnt'])) { if(!empty($_GET['fnt'])) { $fnt = $_GET['fnt']; } else{$fnt='arial';} } else{$img='blue';} if(isset($_POST['user'],$_POST['img'],$_POST['fnt'])) { if(!empty($_POST['user'])) { $user=$_POST['user']; } if(!empty($_POST['img'])) { $img = $_POST['img']; } if(!empty($_POST['fnt'])) { $fnt=$_POST['fnt']; } } //Skill Grabs $order = array("Overall", "Attack", "Defence", "Strength", "Hitpoints", "Ranged", "Prayer", "Magic", "Cooking", "Woodcutting", "Fletching", "Fishing", "Firemaking", "Crafting", "Smithing", "Mining", "Herblore", "Agility", "Thieving", "Slayer", "Farming", "Runecraft", "Hunter", "Construction", "Summoning", "Dungeoneering"); $get = file_get_contents("http://hiscore.runescape.com/index_lite.ws?player=$user"); $get = explode("\n", $get); $i = 0; foreach ($order as $key => $value) { $value = strtolower($value); $temp = explode(",", $get[$i]); $temp = array("rank" => $temp[0], "level" => $temp[1], "exp" => $temp[2]); $stats[$value] = $temp; $eval = "\$$value = array(\$temp[\"rank\"], \$temp[\"level\"], \$temp[\"exp\"]);"; eval($eval); $i++; } //End Skill Grabs $image = imagecreatefrompng("http://slay2day.x10.mx/highscores/signatures/".$img.".png"); $font = "/fonts/".$fnt.".ttf"; $color = imagecolorallocate($image, 255,255,255); ImageTTFText ($image, "7", 0, 280, 10, $color, "/fonts/arial.ttf","Slay2day"); ImageTTFText ($image, "12", 0, 240, 55, $color, $font,$user); if(is_numeric($overall[0])) { if($overall[0]==-1) { ImageTTFText($image, "11", 0, 230, 105, $color, $font,"2000000+"); } else { ImageTTFText($image, "11", 0, 240, 105, $color, $font,$overall[0]); } } else { ImageTTFText($image, "11", 0, 230, 105, $color, $font,"2000000+"); } ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 27, 20, $color, $font,$attack[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 27, 42, $color, $font,$strength[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 27, 64, $color, $font,$defence[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 27, 88, $color, $font,$hitpoints[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 27, 114, $color,$font,$ranged[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 70, 20, $color, $font,$prayer[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 70, 42, $color, $font,$magic[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 70, 64, $color, $font,$cooking[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 70, 88, $color, $font,$woodcutting[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 70, 114, $color,$font,$fletching[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 117, 20, $color, $font,$fishing[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 117, 42, $color, $font,$firemaking[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 117, 64, $color, $font,$crafting[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 117, 88, $color, $font,$smithing[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 117, 114, $color,$font,$mining[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 162, 20, $color, $font,$herblore[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 162, 42, $color, $font,$agility[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 162, 64, $color, $font,$thieving[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 162, 88, $color, $font,$slayer[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 162, 114, $color,$font,$farming[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 212, 20, $color, $font,$runecraft[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 212, 42, $color, $font,$construction[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 212, 64, $color, $font,$hunter[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 212, 88, $color, $font,$summoning[1]); ImageTTFText ($image, "10", 0, 212, 114, $color,$font,$dungeoneering[1]); header("Content-type: image/png"); imagepng($image); imagedestroy($image); //Logging $url = getenv("HTTP_REFERER"); // connect to the database include('connect-db.php'); //variables date_default_timezone_set('Pacific/Auckland'); $datepickerbox = $_POST['datepickerbox']; $datepickerbox = date("Y-m-d H:i:s", time($datepickerbox)); echo $datepickerbox; // save the data to the database mysql_query("INSERT signature SET user='$user', img='$img', time='$datepickerbox', url='$url', font='$fnt'") or die(mysql_error()); //End Logging ?> if they do not have a font i get: Code: [Select] Warning: imagettftext() [function.imagettftext]: Could not find/open font in /home/slay2day/public_html/highscores/signatures/signature.php on line 130 but of they dont choose a font i want it to use arial... i'm trying to achive this results layout: example: catagory comment comment comment catagory catagory catagory comment what is being pulled now is if their is 2 comments two 1 catagory then 2 catagorys are being returned with the same id. what i want is to return one cataogry with many comments. thanks in advance for your help. Nick. I have a form that inserts information into a mysql, the only prolem is I need to add different surrounding html to the information when entering it into the database depending what the value is...(essentially I want to store font color around different levels) How would I define the same variable with different information depending on the value? The information is called using: if ($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] == 'POST') { $editLEVEL=$_POST['level']; I want it so if 'Level1' is the posted value then $editLEVEL would be '<color=1>$editLEVEL</color>' but if 'Level2' is the posted value the $editLEVEL would be '<color=2>$editLEVEL</color>' If you dont understand just let me know I'll try explain best I can. Hi guyz, I am looking to create a dymanic comment box for my website where already logged in users can comment on webpages. It is quite a challenge getting to dynamically display only the comments a particular user posted on a web page. What I mean is I would like to be able to click on a page, see only the comments logged users posted on that page, and then post my own comment on that page. At the moment I created a comment box for my webpages but the issue is my posted comments on one particular page is displaying on all web pages with is comment system..This is the problem and it is very difficult to find helpful material hopefully you guyz can come to the rescue. Please guys any help or suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks Kdiamonds Hi all, here's my code: Code: [Select] <?php foreach ($_SESSION['topping'] as $value) { echo "<tr><td width='30%'>Topping</td><td width='50%'>$value</td><td width='20%'><select name='notopping'>"; foreach ($_SESSION['cupcake'] as $number) { '<option name="notoppings[]" value="'.$number.'">".$number."</option>'; } echo "</select></td></tr>"; } ?> $_SESSION['cupcake'] is a value from either 6, 12, 24 or 36. What I want to do is put them into a drop down box (second foreach) as the value and the displayed value - counting up from 1 (so 1,2,3,4,5,6 or up to 12,24 etc). Also by creating this as an array, does this mean than for each topping (say Vanilla and Chocolate) the value dynamically created can be used on the next page by using $_POST['notoppings'] to display each type (two different numbers - one for Vanilla and one for Chocolate). Does that make sense? Thanks! Jason Hi guys.. 1st post here. I'm pretty new to php.. just a few weeks in. I've gotten pretty decent at making mysql connections and extracting data, but now I'm wanting to take one of my urls that I echo to my page and create a new page. Hoping someone can help... Here's the pictu MY MySQL Setup: I have 1 table called table1. It has 2 columns which a 'Title' & 'Description' My Index.php Page: I connect to mysql. I pull the 'Title' from MySQL and loop it to produce 100 rows of data that fill my index page, as expected. My Problem: I now want to be able to click one of those rows and dynamically create a new page (description.php) that includes the 'Title' & 'Description'. My Progress: I've managed to click a row and create a hyperlink to mysite.com/$title (where 'title' is pulling the 'title' from the mysql db) but I all I get is page not found. My Question: How do I tell description.php to pull the 'Title' and 'Description' and link to it from index.php? My Gratitude: Thanks in advance! I got a question regarding a news website content that i want to make ! my question is how do i call my contents without using a lot of page? i explain let's say i got 10 news how do i put this 10 news in different pages without using 10 pages ? ex: you can see some links having a number like this http://bbc.uk/news/murder_case-12 then the next page got http://bbc.uk/news/finance-13 the title and the number id change but the page news doesnt change thanks for your answer. Hi All, i am trying to Generate a image dynamically. Up to here i am able to do it . But when i give any echo statement with this its not working.. Here is my code pls help me in this <?php // Create a 55x30 image $im = imagecreatetruecolor(79, 79); $unknow = imagecolorallocate($im, 0, 255, 255); $white = imagecolorallocate($im, 255, 255, 255); // Draw a white rectangle imagefilledrectangle($im, 4, 4, 75, 25, $unknow); imagefilledrectangle($im, 4, 29, 75, 50, $unknow); imagefilledrectangle($im, 4, 54, 75, 75, $unknow); // Save the image echo 'hi hello'; header("Content-type: image/png"); //imagepng($im, './imagefilledrectangle.png'); imagepng($im); imagedestroy($im); ?> Thanks in advance. I am a newbie to PHP and don't know the lingo. As you can imagine it's quite hard to find advice through a search engine when you don't know the terms you should be searching for! So I'm hoping I can get some advice or leads here... I have a website using a zenphoto photo gallery. I've adapted the CSS/PHP though trial and error to suit my own needs, but now I am thinking of changing the set up of the web page. I've got 10 galleries in 5 "categories", like this: category1-s category1-w category2-s category2-w category3-s category3-w and so on... each category has 2 related options... What I already have is an index for all these categories, where a user can click on the link that says "Category1-S" and it leads to something like this ...zenphoto/index.php?album=category1-s That works fine, but what i WANT to have is a dynamic link on THAT page that will link to the related page. So on zenphoto/index.php?album=category1-s there would be a link that references the gallery "category1-s" truncates the "s" and adds "w" in its place, so the actual link would be "zenphoto/index.php?album=category1-w" On the page for category2-s that link would read "zenphoto/index.php?album=category2-w" and on the page category3-s the link would read "zenphoto/index.php?album=category3-w" The link would be dynamic and would reference the actual URL of the page in order to create the link. I feel that this must be possible, but I don't know what it would be called, so my searches haven't found anything... Any help anyone can give would be very appreciated! thanks, J I wrote this basic script yesterday to process and generate a Google Site Map. And it works! BUT I want to advance this script to accommodate for something else and I don't know the correct path to take from here, but I will tell you what I've found out so far.. Current Situation: 1 - Currently my below script generates urls in the site map like: http://abcdefg.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=29826 2 - I have .htaccess configured to rewrite the urls to the products name data like: http://abcdefg.com/pennies/wheat-pennies/lincoln-wheat-penny-cent.html (just an example) and these urls are ONLY active if clicking on the site links themselves - meaning if I enter: http://abcdefg.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=29826 directly into the url, the url does not resolve to this natural friendly url name. What Id like to achieve (which I don't know what direction I should be looking!): - I'd like my xml output urls (as current) to be written in the natural format (as in #2 above). FYI here is a current example output item in my sitemap: Code: [Select] <url> <loc>http://abcdefg.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=29803</loc> <changefreq>weekly</changefreq> <lastmod>2010-09-24T08:00:00+04:00</lastmod> </url> Can anyone give me some guidance on what method might work for this? Do you think it's more a mod_rewrite issue? Or can this be handled easier with straight up modifications to my below? I'm just a bit confused on what direction I should be looking.. Thanks for any input. <?php header("Content-Type: text/xml;charset=iso-8859-1"); echo '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <urlset xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9">'; //include('config.local.php'); $cxn = mysqli_connect($config['db_host'], $config['db_user'], $config['db_password'], $config['db_name']); $query = "SELECT cscart_product_descriptions.product_id, cscart_products.product_id, cscart_products.timestamp FROM cscart_product_descriptions JOIN cscart_products ON cscart_product_descriptions.product_id = cscart_products.product_id WHERE cscart_products.status='A' LIMIT 10000"; $result = mysqli_query($cxn, $query); $row = mysqli_fetch_array($result); while ($row = mysqli_fetch_array($result)) { $formatedTime = $row['timestamp']; echo '<url> <loc>http://abcdefg.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=' . $row['product_id'] . '</loc> <changefreq>weekly</changefreq> <lastmod>'. date('c',$formatedTime) .'</lastmod> </url>'; } //while ($row = mysqli_fetch_array($result)) echo '</urlset>'; ?> Hello, I'm working on a dynamic text form (I guess thats what its called). Basically, I have a html page that echos in some PHP code. What the PHP code does is show different strings of text depending on a variable: Code: [Select] <PHP? $brief1_info = "brief info goes here"; $brief1 = 0; if (isset($_POST['brief1Go'])) { $brief1 = $brief1 + 1; } else if (isset($_POST['brief1Back'])) { $brief1 = $brief1 - 1; } $breif1Controller = " <form action=\"".$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']."\" method=\"post\"> <input type=\"submit\" name=\"brief1Back\" id=\"brief1Back\" value=\"BACK\" /> </form> <form action=\"".$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']."\" method=\"post\"> <input type=\"submit\" name=\"brief1Go\" id=\"brief1Go\" value=\"CONTINUE\" /> </form>"; if($brief1 == 0){ $brief1_info = "<b>Welcome Commander,</b> you are currently viewing the Mission Control Brief page, here you can view all your missions that you need to complete in order to advance through your prestiges. You will need to follow your briefs carefully in order to succeed. <br /><br /> "; } else if($brief1 == 1){ $brief1_info = "Okay, let me show you around the place ..."; } else if($brief1 == 2){ $brief1_info = "brief is on 2"; } ?> The problem is, the BACK and CONTINUE buttons don't work. If $brief1 equals 0, and the user presses continue, the is should go to 1, and the brief1_info string is changed (so some different text shows in my html). It actually works when brief1 is on '0', but when its on 1 and the user pressed continue, the brief1 is changed to 1, but because the submit button refreshes the page, the variable is re-read again, and thus is reset back to 0. Is there a way around this? Or is there a better method than what I'm doing? Thanks |
