PHP - Link/banner To Hide After X Number Of Clicks
How can I make a link or banner to expire after x number of clicks on it?
Similar TutorialsAlright more on my affiliate page which you guys helped me build last night. Thanks again I want to count the number of times one of the affiliates is clicked. So each one has to have its own impression number. I have my array set up like so: - i see that impression is now 0 and needs to be changed to a variable etc like $aff_blah1_impressions // affiliates array for affiliates page $affiliates = array( array( "title" => "aff_blah1", "image" => "http://aff_blah1.net/images/aff_blah1.png", "href" => "http://aff_blah1.net/", "start_date" => "1/1/2011", "impressions" => "0" ), array( "title" => "aff_blah2", "image" => "http://aff_blah2.net/images/aff_blah2.png", "href" => "http://aff_blah2.net/", "start_date" => "1/1/2011", "impressions" => "0" ), array( "title" => "aff_blah3", "image" => "http://aff_blah3.net/images/aff_blah3.png", "href" => "http://aff_blah3.net/", "start_date" => "1/1/2011", "impressions" => "0" ), ); // affiliates array end I have seen some examples but they all use a text file. Is there any way to have it stored in the database? I was thinking it would somehow be in the link with like a onClick (which is java) that would run a php function. What i am trying to figure out is the best way to store it and have only one function for impressions made on each affiliate. Any keyword search terms or links would be very helpful! Can also contact through AIM: MadLittleMods@gmail.com Hei everyone. When any one clicks on any ad network banner that i place on site after a click on banner i want it to hide / remove. I need this so wont have multiple ad clicks and prevent being banned I dont need a function on a simple click anywhere on page. I need when banner clicked to get hidden after the click is made on it. Edited October 17, 2015 by skendoCode: [Select] <?php if(isset($_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'])) { echo "<a href='schedule.php'>Request A Skype Session</a>"; } ?> works great for someone that islogged in my htpasswd, however, I would like to hide Code: [Select] <a href="/members/index.php">Login</a> if they are logged in, how do i go about doing the opposite of the first code i linked...sorry if it sounds complicated Hi everyone, first of all let me thank you for this wonderful forum I come back here always when i need help... i'm trying to learn so soon i hope, i'll be helping others... I have a question for now, i have a code which goes like this: Code: [Select] <? $b = time (); $date1 =date( "Y-m-d;h:i:s" , mktime(date("h")+6, date("i"), date("s"), date("m") , date("d"), date("Y"))); $str_time = "&receivedtimestamp="; $str_msg = "&msg=bkt"; $str_from = "from="; ?> <a href="http://testext.i-movo.com/api/receivesms.aspx?<?echo $str_from;?><?=$getuser[0]['phone'];?><?echo $str_time;?><?echo $date1;?><?echo $str_msg;?>">Get a Cupon</a> What i need is that when the URL is generated, one of those variables to be hidden, for example the $str_from to be in the link but not visible... I must tell you that the link on the Get Cupon goes to an external link so i don't know if i can do it with .httpaccess as i've heard... I'm getting the dreaded " Invalid parameter number: number of bound variables does not match number of tokens" error and I've looked at this for days. Here is what my table looks like:
| id | int(4) | NO | PRI | NULL | auto_increment | | user_id | int(4) | NO | | NULL | | | recipient | varchar(30) | NO | | NULL | | | subject | varchar(25) | YES | | NULL | | | cc_email | varchar(30) | YES | | NULL | | | reply | varchar(20) | YES | | NULL | | | location | varchar(50) | YES | | NULL | | | stationery | varchar(40) | YES | | NULL | | | ink_color | varchar(12) | YES | | NULL | | | fontchosen | varchar(30) | YES | | NULL | | | message | varchar(500) | NO | | NULL | | | attachment | varchar(40) | YES | | NULL | | | messageDate | datetime | YES | | NULL |Here are my params: $params = array( ':user_id' => $userid, ':recipient' => $this->message_vars['recipient'], ':subject' => $this->message_vars['subject'], ':cc_email' => $this->message_vars['cc_email'], ':reply' => $this->message_vars['reply'], ':location' => $this->message_vars['location'], ':stationery' => $this->message_vars['stationery'], ':ink_color' => $this->message_vars['ink_color'], ':fontchosen' => $this->message_vars['fontchosen'], ':message' => $messageInput, ':attachment' => $this->message_vars['attachment'], ':messageDate' => $date );Here is my sql: $sql = "INSERT INTO messages (user_id,recipient, subject, cc_email, reply, location, stationery, ink_color, fontchosen, message, attachment) VALUES( $userid, :recipient, :subject, :cc_email, :reply, :location, :stationery, :ink_color, :fontchosen, $messageInput, :attachment, $date);"; And lastly, here is how I am calling it: $dbh = parent::$dbh; $dbh->setAttribute(PDO::ATTR_ERRMODE, PDO::ERRMODE_WARNING); if (empty($dbh)) return false; $stmt = $dbh->prepare($sql); $stmt->execute($params) or die(print_r($stmt->errorInfo(), true)); if (!$stmt) { print_r($dbh->errorInfo()); }I know my userid is valid and and the date is set above (I've echo'd these out to make sure). Since the id is auto_increment, I do not put that in my sql (though I've tried that too), nor in my params (tried that too). What am I missing? I feel certain it is something small, but I have spent days checking commas, semi-colons and spelling. Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong? Hi all, i am creating a custom blog for practise, how do we add no of clicks in database to that topics visitors clicks. I have added 'clicks' field in table 'blog_posts'. Now how to add and increment value by 1 when visitors visits that topic ? Hello PHPFreaks, I have emerged yet again with another question. I currently have a fully operational Minecraft Voting for Diamonds script (Don't turn away because you saw Minecraft, this has nothing to do with it), and want to enhance it; though a 'Top Voters' list. Now, basically the script goes like this Login Page > Main Page with links > Rewarding Script > thank you message. On the main page with links, once all links are clicked on, you click a 'Get Rewarded' button. I want to track who clicks this, and how many times a month it is clicked by them. Only 1 click on the button is allowed per day, with the use of cookies. This means the maximum amount of clicks on it per month, per user would be something around 30. I store the players usernane in the cookies, and if they have voted today, but that is all. The Top Voters list would look something like this: Userwhatever - 6 Votes Blarg - 4 votes Someone - 2 votes And so on... I want an ordered list of users which have voted that month. 'Votes', would be the amount of times that 'Get Rewarded' had been clicked. How can I make this? I will also require it to reset all votes of the first of every month, how do I do this? Many thanks! This topic has been moved to MySQL Help. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=321849.0 Hello,
I have problem durring binding update query. I can't find what is causing problem.
public function Update(Entry $e) { try { $query = "update entry set string = $e->string,delimiter=$e->delimiter where entryid= $e->id"; $stmt = $this->db->mysqli->prepare($query); $stmt->bind_param('ssi',$e->string,$e->delimiter,$e->id); $stmt->close(); } catch(Exception $ex) { print 'Error: ' .$ex->getMessage(); } }When I run function update I'm getting next error:Warning: mysqli_stmt::bind_param(): Number of variables doesn't match number of parameters in prepared statement Can you help me to solve this problem ? Edited by danchi, 17 October 2014 - 10:25 AM. I need to display a number(the number is retrieved from the db) in the form input field such that only the last 4 digits is visbile, the remaining can be masked as * or X or whatever is applicable. I know the last 4 can be obtained as follows: Code: [Select] $number=substr($number,-4,4); But when i hit the submit button the form validates the input field and checks if the number is a valid number of a specific format. Therefore when I click on the submit button then I should still be able to unmask the masked numbers or do something similar that would help me validate the whole number. Code: [Select] <input type="text" name="no" value="<?php if(!empty($number)){ echo $number;} ?>"> Hey all, THe problem I am having is even when I check the checbox, it still sends a value of 0 to the php array and hence nothing is ever updated: Code: [Select] <input type="checkbox" name="approved[1]" value="1" checked="checked" /> <input type="checkbox" name="approved[3]" value="0" /> <input type="checkbox" name="approved[4]" value="0" /> So the second item is not checked by default. But even when I check it, my post array contains this: Code: [Select] array(2) { [1]=> string(1) "1" [3]=> string(1) "0" } Notice the "0". It should be "1" now since I checked the second option. This is the function: Code: [Select] function update(){ $vanity_url = new VanityUrl(); $checkbox = $this->input->post('approved'); //this is same thing as $_POST if(isset($checkbox)){ foreach($checkbox as $key => $value){ $vanity_url->where('id',$key)->get(); $vanity_url->approved = (int)$value; $vanity_url->save(); $vanity_url->check_last_query(); } } } That check_last_query() function outputs this: Code: [Select] UPDATE `vanity_urls` SET `approved` = 1 WHERE `id` = 1 UPDATE `vanity_urls` SET `approved` = 0 WHERE `id` = 3 So despite checking the second option it still sets it to 0. Thanks for response. Can you see any problems with the code below? It doesn't work. What I am trying to do is quite straightforward. The links on my site look like this: go.php?id=1&url=usa go.php?id=1&url=uk go.php?id=2&url=usa go.php?id=2&url=uk When a visitor clicks on one of these links, I want to grab the values of the id and url parameters, count the click, and redirect the visitor. Here's the error that I get when I try the code: Quote Warning: mysql_fetch_row() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in C:\xampp\htdocs\sites\go.php on line 18 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at C:\xampp\htdocs\sites\go.php:18) in C:\xampp\htdocs\sites\go.php on line 19 <?php $conn = mysql_connect('localhost','username', 'password') or trigger_error("SQL", E_USER_ERROR); mysql_select_db('database', $conn) or trigger_error("SQL", E_USER_ERROR); $id = intval($_GET['id']); $url = intval($_GET['url']); mysql_query("UPDATE urls SET click_counter = click_counter+1 WHERE id=$id"); if ($url=="usa") $href = "SELECT usa FROM urls WHERE id=$id"; elseif ($url=="uk") $href = "SELECT uk FROM urls WHERE id=$id"; elseif ($url=="aus") $href = "SELECT aus FROM urls WHERE id=$id"; elseif ($url=="can") $href = "SELECT can FROM urls WHERE id=$id"; else $href = "SELECT int FROM urls WHERE id=$id"; $qry = mysql_query($href); list($href)=mysql_fetch_row($qry); header("Location:$href"); mysql_close($conn); ?> Hey I have a string that looks like the following: Quote top-php-tutorials-2.html I have a script that cycles through each page. The 2 in the quote above is the page number. How can I extract the number between the - and the .html and replace it with another number? I've tried Code: [Select] substr($engine->selectedcaturl, 0,-6).$v.".html"But then I realised this only works for numbers that are 1 digit long Any input would be appreciated hello, i have a start time and an end time (no dates). the following works great, except for when the start time is at night, and the end time is in the morning. im thinking if i can do an if the number is negative, add 24, that it will resolve my issue. any ideas? Code: [Select] $tbilled = $tfinish - $tstart; Hi guys, Can anyone help me about please. I tried to google free open source for "Banner Affiliate Code Tracking" to put on my website but I can't find any. Can anyone suggest or tell me how I can do this? Cheers, siabanie this is one thing im pretty stumped on, i have done searches and tried a few different banner rotators, but they all rotate on page reload. im looking for time based rotator that doesnt require a page reload. as far as it goes, i have nothing thats working the way im looking for. I have a database table called "featurebox" and the colums are "id", "imgsrc", "imgurl". the other tough part is that i need it to switch with a background image of a table. my layout for this would not work if it was just a image in a table :/ I have a rotator working for it at this moment. but its in java, and i want to get rid of the java cuz it dont work to well with php or at least not well for me. this is the page that im working on. www.fightingforyesterday.com/index.php that spot where u see some images changes in the box where "feature" is titled. thats just java and they have no links to click on. and i want to change it so each image has its own URL to goto. it is the same idea as a banner rotator, but of course its not for ads to other sites. i dont really have any code that would be usefull to show you to help out. but if you want to see something just let me know Hi, I making a banner exchange script. Members will have to place a banner code on their sites to make banners appear. Some members might cheat by using bots to refresh the page to gain impressions and to waste other members impressions so i wanted to know if bots have ip addresses? because i want to only give member impressions if their visitors have ip. What are the other things i can do to check if members are cheating?. Thanks
$ip=$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; i think that z-index is not solution if you look http://www.radio-la.info if z-index is 1 or more, banner go over web page (bouth), if z-index is 0 or lower, i cann not click on banner, i see only picture from left and right side of web page, available for a click now, is logical to have z-index on bouth div (banner) value 1 or mor but, how to count widhth of the banner, (now width of banner is 25% the left is z-index:0; right is z-index:1;) width = free white space from left or right side of web page thanks Hi I've got this database I created with fields ProductId ProductName Image I've managed to get it to list the ID,productname, and Image urls in a list. My next step is to have the image field actually display an image and make it clickable: heres what I've done so far: Code: [Select] <?php $con = mysql_connect("localhost","root",""); if (!$con) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } mysql_select_db("productfeed", $con); $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM productfeeds"); echo "<table border='0'> <tr> <th>Firstname</th> <th>Lastname</th> <th>Image</th> </tr>"; while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td>" . $row['ProductID'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $row['ProductName'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $row['ImageURL'] . "</td>"; echo "</tr>"; } echo "</table>"; mysql_close($con); ?> Heres what I want to do: Code: [Select] while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td>" . $row['ProductID'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $row['ProductName'] . "</td>"; // my changes beneath echo "<td>" . <a href="<?php echo $row['ImageURL'];?>"> <img src="<?php echo $row['LinkURL']; ?>"> </a>. "</td>"; echo "</tr>"; } echo "</table>"; mysql_close($con); ?> Can you guys point me in the right direction? Many thanks Hello.
I have a bit of a problem. When I fetch the link field from the database.i don't see an actual link on the page.
One more thing, what type of field should I use to store the link in the database? Probably there is where I went wrong.
All help is
