PHP - Ebay Clone Php Error *function Session Register*

That is my error, I have no idea, What is it? Similar TutorialsHi, I have built a registration and login system for a website, part of which I wish to protect certain pages. The registration systems works well, as does the login BUT I am having difficulty with the next stage. How do I then 'capture' the username and password that were entered by the user and get the PHP page I want to protect to check that these are valid? I guess it is a piece of code I need to put in the top of the protected page? Here is the final piece of code (which then includes a link to the page I want to protect) from the login page which includes session_register, but then how can I use this information in the page I wish to protect? //Now if everything is correct let's finish his/her/its login session_register("username", $username); session_register("password", $password); echo "Welcome, ".$username." please continue onto our ".$sub." membership area...<a href=".$index.">click here</a>"; } Thanks, Simon Hello, I have a registration page requesting simple information (first name, last name, email and password). When I click my 'register' button I receive the following errors:
Below is most of the code where I experience issues. This is a new database, and I haven't been able to get test registered as of yet. Any help would be appreciated. I have tried to replace the header (Location: 'admin.php') with this: echo "<script>document.location.href='admin.php'</script>"; echo "<script>'Content-type: application/octet-stream'</script>"; I've been trying to read up on solutions but haven't been able to get it sorted. If anyone can offer some advice that would be greatly appreciated as im new to php. Code: [Select] <?php session_start(); if(isset($_SESSION['user'])) echo "<script>document.location.href='admin.php'</script>"; echo "<script>'Content-type: application/octet-stream'</script>"; ?> <div id="loginform"> <form action="dologin.php" method="post"> <table> <tr> <td><span>Username:</span></td> <td><input type="text" name="username" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span>Password:</span></td> <td><input type="password" name="password" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2" align="right"><input type="submit" name="login" value="Login" /></td> </tr> </table> </form> </div> I have tried using require_once('yourpage.php'); before my <head></head> tags in the header document where I've specified the html information but this doesn't seem to work. I've been advised to use ob_start("ob_gzhandler"); but I am not sure how to implement this. Any advice is greatly appreciated! here is my code: Code: [Select] function registerUser() { mysql_connect('localhost', 'user', 'password', 'table'); $rsPostCode = $_POST['rsPostCode']; $rsGender = $_POST['rsGender']; $rsUser = $_POST['rsUser']; $rsPass = $_POST['rsPass']; $rsEmail = $_POST['rsEmail']; $rsMobile = $_POST['rsMobile']; $rsAge = $_POST['rsAge']; $sql = "INSERT INTO members_copy (rsPostCode, rsGender, rsUser, rsPass, rsEmail, rsMobile, rsAge) VALUES ($rsPostCode, $rsGender, $rsUser, $rsPass, $rsEmail, $rsMobile, $rsAge);"; //echo $sql; mysql_query($sql); } When I write out my SQL this is the output: INSERT INTO members_copy (rsPostCode, rsGender, rsUser, rsPass, rsEmail, rsMobile, rsAge) VALUES (BN11, Male, jarv, mypassword, john@email.com, 07998989999, 08/11/1978); here is my register page: http://www.retroandvintage.co.uk/register.php The error is on line 101. Help please. However, I had a script that I got off the internet, the original file works great and registers the user to the database. However the edited version of the script, where I have added more information such as the users address etc, no longer works. I have compared the two files and can't seem to find the problem. When the script is run, it skips all the registration part and jumps to the last error in the script saying 'You Could Not Be Registered Because Of Missing Data.'. All the variables match the column names in the database.
Here is the original working script

Thanks! hi all, I have a form that pass some $_POST values to a page that sets a session like this: session_start(); $_SESSION['TESTE'] = array ($_POST['sexo'],$_POST['nome'],$_POST['senha'],$_POST['senha2'],$_POST['login']); header ("Location: dddl.php"); Then the dddl.php should print the values on this line: print_r ($_SESSION['TESTE']) ; But when i run the application the dddl.php page returns this error: Notice: Undefined variable: _SESSION in C:\Users\Danilo\wamp\www\CNTur\dddl.php on line 2 Why it's not setting or why can't I reach the values? When I run the following code on the same page the session values are returned correctly: session_start(); $_SESSION['TESTE'] = array ($_POST['sexo'],$_POST['nome'],$_POST['senha'],$_POST['senha2'],$_POST['login']); print_r ($_SESSION['TESTE']) ; Thankx Danilo Jr. I just edited the tablerate.php in magento, and now I am getting this error, but I don't know what's wrong. Anybody here can help me?
The error message reads "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '*', expecting function (T_FUNCTION) in /home/echoshom/public_html/app/code/core/Mage/Shipping/Model/Carrier/Tablerate.php on line 50"
